We know they are here, they know we're here, they know we know and so forth. We know they're going to try to kill us and vise versa. Ambush is when you attack someone who isn't expecting combat.

Granted, what you (and especially Meri) are going to do is a surprise, but it's more akin to pulling out a gun at a fist fight. I suggest you target two different members to increase your odds that at least one of them doesn't have defenses.

If the desk is large enough, it should have a small area of effect. Sadly, I already declared my action.

Sorry Cody, but that won't work. Q-leech requires touch, unless you happen to have the range extra on it. (I don't have your sheet handy right now to check.) But without that, you can't do it. You would have to move 50 feet, make a contested touch roll, drain one of them, then move 50 feet to get back out of range of the field, all in less than one round of combat, and I know you don't have hypermovement.

Fox, I am going with the optional rule listed in the APG that says you can burn 2 quantum to heal the lethal level I took to get 2 quantum for dying for power. They introduced this in the errata to fix the burn-1-health-level-for-2QP-spend-1QP-to-regenerate-infinite-quantum-loophole. If you prefer not to exercise that option let me know and I will simply delete that part of the post.

We are dealing with a rabid dog who in Steve's view *can't* know anything useful, much less anything worth the risk of keeping him around. We have several people on this team who will argue against killing him... presumably leaving him to kill and eat other people. Cody wants to show off and/or excersize his curiosity... neither of which is especially useful in this situation.

In Steve's judgment this is someone who should be killed at first opportunity, which will be in a few seconds. And we're in a combat situation where we don't have the ability or time to discuss the matter.

I thought I would mention to you guys that the major plotline for LM will end after you discover the watchers and their secret. I don't plan to end the game there, but it will be up to you guys whether you want me to continue after the big reveal.

Beyond that point if you guys want to go on I might even open the game up for other players if there is any interest or call for an assistant ST to help me out so that we could get more combat and such into the game as well as more story ideas somewhat like the way ItB is being run.

Hmm... with taint gone we need another goal.

I would love to find a way to continue the game. Perhaps we could do some brainstorming.

Don't get me wrong, there will be the whole wide universe out there for you to continue to explore, or you could settle down to create your own empire, or go back in time and rewrite all of human history from ancient Egypt on. It's all up to you guys. I'm just saying that beyond the Watchers I only have one other major plot thread going on that you haven't discovered/explored.

Cody's big goal was to learn the secret of the Watchers. I think I should probably should have changed his nature over the last 80 years as he settled into an Analyst. Now he should be getting back to his explorer roots.

I will say now that I am into continuing but as with everything there is an organic progression. I will no more about the path when we get to that bridge. IN the meantime I am open to discussion as well.

A good question to ask ourselves is what we would do if we had everything? What would we give ourselves? Because we pretty much have the power now.

(Crazy thought...what if the Watcher's turn out to be a version of us...)

Kyria, you have your opening for a nice fic covering Michael wanting you to stay and you wanting to leave. The way I wrote the departure you can just sneak away from Michael just before they jump and teleport aboard, or however you want to do it. Feel free to include whoever you want in the fic.

Option 1) Go find the watchers and tackle that mystery.
Option 2) Go into the future to find weapon upgrades for Lorean.

Option 1 will wrap up the mystery of the watchers and you will finally learn who they are and why you are banished from your home timeline. Wrapping up this mystery will open up other doors for you should you choose to pursue them, but they can be returned to at any time with no sense of urgency.

Option 2 will potentially lead you into another chapter beyond the current one and that will be one that you will likely want to follow up with immediately. This means that Option 2 will likely be at least 2 more chapters before you get to the Watchers if you choose it.

Either way Andrew is free to cure taint whenever he feels he has laid the appropriate ground work.

I've left the post in Ch 10 open ended so let me know which you guys want to choose.

I just noticed that we broke the 5000 post mark this week!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to us and thank you all for making this game successful. I've had some occasional cool ideas and such, but you guys are the reason we are still here and going strong after all this time. You guys rock.
