Lets start a talk here about taint and the ways to deal with it. We lightly talked about Divergence in another topic but it is coming to ebar that some fo you need to deal with taint in some way.

I will pose this question to start us out:
As I see it, Exemplarism, Teras, and Divergence are largely a mentored philosophy. Meaning someone has to teach you the path as the philosophy is not just a canned treatment but a way of life. How do you see the players here having access to these philosophies if all the nova's you have met so far know nothing of them?

This is not my tirade in saying that you have no acccess to these ways, but merely my way of getting an ingame way of allowing you access to them.

It requires both understanding and wisdom, of a sort anyway. But we are fortunate to have access to a great deal of research on Novas done by Asche and the rest. A thorough effort into understanding the condition would likely have compiled a great deal of information of these though some of it might be false or misguiding. Combining that with a willingness to experiment and a pursuit of truth, and I think it would be likely such things could be rediscovered.

More over, lacking one of these three methods for dealing with such things would be negligent, not only for us but for those we are helping. If we are to help them deal with the taint that may arise we need to have a method of doing so.

Good thinking Smite, and well founded. Asche and his research (and thus Eve) would have many roads to offer but really only three stand out; Teras, Divergence, and Exemplarism. We have the Terragen Book for Teras and supplemental materials for the other two. I would allow a well thought out and original other path to be explored here as well.

I will be posting details on the Philosophies for all to peruse in time. In the mean time however consider this; The three paths of Nova purity, the three sides of reality (Order, Chaos, Balance), the three aspects matter (solid, liquid, gas), the simple fact that all of the main groups of knights(Lesture, Pranta, and Loran). It is told that three is the perfect universal number and in everything, there is three sides.
Teras might be looked at as the evil, Exemplarism as the good, and Divergence as the Balance.
To every story there is your side, my side, and the truth.

If this is considered true for the Phlosophies then what path might the group see them selves really perpetuating? What might they have more info on and less info on?

Well...of the three....

I highly suggest none of us go the route of Teras, though Rama would fit as a Marvel or Portent.

From the discussions on Exemplarism over at Eon, the whole system seems rather poorly thought out, like a Teras where they just changed the names of everything.

I am interested in Divergence, however. It seems to have its own way of looking at things. It is different, unique and seems well thought out.

It was my understanding that we could learn Divergence through the Team...

...was I mistaken?

You could learn either of the three but most of the information is on Divergence as its source was close to Pax Concordat on earth.
