I don't know how much taint you have so far but keep in mind that if we are using a strict interpretation of the rules that Aberrations will compromise you ability to shapeshift. IE if you take green skin, then no matter what shape you take you will be green (a la Beast Boy). Likewise if you glow you will always be a glowing [whatever].

If Fox is real nice he might allow you to do what another ST allows..that you can shapeshift physical aberrations at the cost of one of your shifting successes...obviously this makes it less efficient and the reason why my shapeshifter character has no aberratrions. Of course its moot if you want to just go all mental on us (But be careful!)

I mention this because this is the second time you have brought up taking over someone's role...it would seem you are jonesin to be a doppleganger! Aberration could heavily compromise this.

Who chooses what Aberrations you get? If its the ST, things could get really wicked.

Generally speaking it's the player during character creation and the ST afterwards... although nothing stops you from making suggestions.

I like Overload's suggestion and I think I'll go with that. You can use extra successes to shapeshift physical aberrations. Low level aberrations would take one success to overcome, mid-lvl aberrations would take 3, and high lvl aberrations would take 5 successes to fully transform. It would become much more difficult to hide the higher the taint.

Lets face it a well built shapeshifter will easily have 1-3 extra successes on average unless they are changing into something really strange like a dragon. So at low levels it won't be a big deal, but at higher levels it will be more difficult and won't be an inconsequential thing. After all people can wear sunglasses to hide low lvl aberrant eyes, but the higher the taint the less you are able hide what you are.

Sounds good to me, Andrew should be more than able to compensate for his Aberrations initially and late he may cease to care about hiding them

Well...Cody is going to leave a message for the Sphynx, but before he does a damn thing he needs to go rest/meditate. But as exhausted as he is he didn't want to be rude and excuse himself before the meeting was over so he is being polite while the rest of the team discusses options.

Ulric is also someone that the Robber is likely to know, which may impress him. Of course Ulric and Lorean could both go, incase things got physical.

Only reason I could see not having Ulric go would be if we were worried that this Sphinx guy might find out that Ulric is in on the plot. Otherwise I'd rather send a PC than an NPC, but that's just me.

We are going to need to have a strong reserve. Cody for starters to monitor the situation see that Mr.Spinkx isn't there. Guys, this could be an ambush, we have to prepare for that although it's not the most likely synariro.

Ulric can arrange for some "secret" government talks between the EU and the British government. During his "secret" visit, Ulric and slip away to meet a lady. The press of the day shouldn't pubilicize the affair during this day and age, but the rumor should be there.

The woman is Lorean and the two of them can then sneak out and meet with the Robber. I'm not sure if Ulric bringing two bodyguards (Followers) would do more harm than good. They will hone in and talk with the Robber and 'recruit' him, plus learn if he has any more information.

Ulric has Mega-Charisma 5, but not Mega-Manipulation. He does have a good deal of social skills though. Offensively, he's a tough baseline.

How does everyone feel about this plan?

By this point the UK is part of the EU of which you are the elected leader. You are free to visit anytime you want and no one will think anything of it as long as you have a reason for being there.

So we know who should be point man on this. For backup... Cody is mute, Omar is another world leader and two seems a bit much, Lorean is an NPC... so I gather it's Steve or Andrew?

My general impression is Andrew has somewhat more soak and Combat abilities while Steve's social skills are better (and his Investigative skills are much better).

I think it's pretty safe, people big on DD aren't usually combat machines and Steve has lie detector... but...

To my mind it's not quite a coin toss; I marginally favor Steve. But he's my PC so I could be biased and Andrew might have things I don't know about.

What say you Andrew?

Omar has Mega-App, but as Courier said, he is a world leader and would be easily recognized. He does however, have a high soak, stamina and damage potential, so if you need someone for a fight, he is the man.

In dealing with the robber though, Omar might be overkill. And if he gets away, he could alert everyone that Omar is part of the inner sanctum. But then again, a costume might solve the problem of recognition.

If you are afraid of an ambush, I would suggest taking Cody along. He has intuition: area.

Omar...afraid of an ambush? Nothing would make him happier than to have someone ambush him... It means he gets to fight.

There is both the problem of an ambush, plus the problem of dealing with a phaser (DDer). I really have little idea what each of you are capable of so I don't know who would be best and doesn't already have a mission.

I'm still here. Recently the Powers That Be have seen fit to beat me with big sticks until I cry, but hopefully I should be able to hack my bills and petty coworkers apart with a flaming sword of truthiness by next week, at which point I will most assuredly embark on the posting of long, numerous, and sopoforic posts to increase banality within your game.

In other words I've been both really tired and really busy. The assault on my spare time should let up soon, though.
