I find this Article a bit disturbing but not really suprising. I wonder if the U.S. military has any views on it. I knew a few friends who played it nightly while in the Navy and out at sea.

Its obviously much better for young soldiers to go out to bars and strip joints so that they can be broke and drunk instead of sitting around the barracks exercising their minds.

Never mind the fact that you could classify training exercises and bayonetting a sack filled with straw as a form of roleplaying.

Last I checked, the U.S. military was somewhere between neutral and supportive of role-playing games, for the simple reason that it is a good mental exercise.

Albeit a very bad example to set for roleplaying. After all, you're not supposed to use weapons and hurt other people. ~.^
