Early Life -----------------------------------------------------------
Adrian was born in Yuma, Arizona to Reina and Hector Mendoza. Reina raised him along with two brothers (one of whom, Angel, as killed in a gang related shooting when Adrian was thirteen) and two sisters. He attended Cibola High School where graduated valedictorian in 2003. He graduated with numerous scholarships and began attending the University of Arizona working to earn a Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

On May 14, 2004 Adrian Mendoza received word that his brother
Ramon Mendoza had been struck by a high voltage line in a work related accident. Believing that Ramon was dead Adrian returned from Tucson to join his family. It was soon learned that Ramon had survived the accident and had
erupted as a Nova.
On May 22, 2004 after a week in a
Rashoud facility, Ramon was reunited with his family. It was then that Adrian witnessed Ramon demonstrate his ability to transform his body into electricity
(physiological phase transition). There is no exact of what happened next, but most references state that Adrian appeared very disturbed by the demonstration, and locked himself up for an unknown period of time.

Upon examination at the
Los Angeles Rashoud facility his abilities were immediately recognized. After his evaluation he was immediately offered a position within Utopia, an offer soon followed by other bids from
DeVries,
Kuro-Tek, and others. He signed a contract with Utopia’s
Science and Technology division that included sponsorship through two Ivy League doctorate programs. He officially joined Science and Technology in December 2006, after having earned a Sc.D.N.M. from Harvard University and a Sc.D. in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Adrian Mendoza is currently working for Project Utopia: Science and Technology’s department of
Nova Medicine. He is the lead researcher for
Theoretical Support, a cross-departmental created to study global Nova phenomena, analyze data to anticipate possible future events, and provide ready support to field agents in critical situations.
