I am still in process of reading Fox's big first post. the good news is I actually have all of tomorrow off and can get more done. Today I have a Loooong day of physical work so dont expect much tonight.

I did want to mention a few things coming to mind about the 2nd and 3rd gen. For one thing 3rd gens are going to be way better achanneling q since there is no reason not to buy node 5 now.

Second since powers dont manifest til puberty and with that foreknowledge the 2nd and 3rd are in a prime position to "pick" their powers. Essentially education for them will be like Waldorf/Montessori where they are encouraged to set their mind free and explore their interests knowing that the closer they get to puberty the more they are going to have to focus on what they want to be able to do. Pretty cool. This also means that by the time they are adults they might be 60 point Novas.

Good points. In 2000 the average 3rd will only be 40 nps. Remember this world is indoctrinated to not push their powers and avoid taint. They have been kept artificially low on the powerscale.

Walter will look to be in his early/mid 40s. Face quite lined but otherwise not particularly venerable.

Fox, you said you had some wicked good stuff about Cody and the Noosphere Project but I didnt see it in your big update. Not surprising given the update was more in public press release style and Cody works behind the scenes.

Hey folks, I need your help. In re-reading my story I've been bugged by the second on Andrew's internal thoughts:



It doesn't feel quite right but I can't put my finger on exactly why. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome. Feel free to tell me if you thinks it's fine too, I tend to over analyze my own writing.

That this advancement will help thousands does nothing to help me. It doesn't change how much of a monster I've become and how many times I have been forced to feed on the flesh of humans. It will allow me to sate my hunger, nothing more.

While I will create an advancement that will save thousands, I feel it is not enough to return my humanity. I have become a monster. My hunger drives me to feed on human flesh. It is never enough though, for I always need more.
