Mr. Smith, if you want to be able to (canonically) "erupt" baselines, you can. You just won't be able to do it permanently, or for very long. To do what you want, use the powers you had originally, but don't bother with all of the mechanics- and rules-breaking weaknesses and strengths. Node Proxy can, in point of fact, be thematically described as causing a baseline to temporarily erupt. This is what Ho Kai Ming (of the Heaven Thunder Triad) does, and it is also where the vast majority of the Soma and Mite in the Aberrant world comes from (he "sparks" a victim, and then the HTT immediately steps in and "harvests" them for their M-R node). If you want to be able to use Node Spark to guide a new (temporary) eruptee's potential growth, then spend some NPs and buy a level of Strength in the Area department. It'll only net you an area of 1 meter, but that's fine for what it sounds like you going for. There's no permanency in either of these ideas, but that's cuz there's just no permanency in this here game universe. Having said all that, I thought I'd point out that your current (and for all I know you're about to change it all around at any moment) build for Quantum Imprint is entirely impossible. Levels of Strength can't be used to purchase extras. If you have 3 levels of weakness on a power then you can purchase an extra for 3 NPs without altering the power's level, but that's it. 5 levels of weakness will lower a power's level by 1 (to a minimum of one, naturally). So if you add 6 levels of weakness to a power, it lowers the power by one level. You can then buy an extra (thus raising the power back to it's original level), and you'll have 1 extra level of weakness left over that you could use to buy a level of strength, but this isn't terribly efficient. You cannot, so far as I can tell, add multiple groups of 3 levels of weaknesses in order to buy multiple extras on a single power. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I figure that you're actually in the middle of reworking the power entirely, but I thought I'd point it out anyway. Also, your ledger says that you spent 14 bonus points raising your Quantum to 3, but your Quantum starts at 3 unless you voluntarily decide to lower it below that (in which case you can't raise it above 3 during chargen). This does net you some extra BPs (see the rules), but since you need at least a Q of 4 in order to have Quantum Imprint (or 5 for Node Spark, should you decide to go back to that) I think you'd be better off taking the base Q of 3 that comes for free and spend those 14 BPs to raise your Q to 5.

I took the example from Divis Mal.(Who is the subject of the "expanding on backgrounds" section in the APG) Or a more real-world-based example, Aphex Twin.
Eveyone and their mother knows who and what he is, just nobody knows where he is. He makes appearances when he wants to, but the paparazzi and "Cult of Praxis" pretty much leave him alone. If he wants to be found and make an appearance, he will. If he doesn't, he won't.
It's how I explain why there's not throngs of fanatical worshipping fans outside his door all the time, thus how he has time to post on the internet.
When he's "On" -- Awe Inspiring, First Impression, The Voice, Special Effect, etc etc etc. When he's "Off" -- Mr. Nobody, vanish into the crowd

I believe the proper phrase is -- Bring it.
And yes, I think that could be an awesome arc. Hint, hint.
As far as the rest of it goes, from what I can see, Daniel has his hands full convincing people that he's not a dick for dealing with girly troubles. Perhaps in the future he will go into the mainline music business, but for the now, high school.
All that said, if you want, we could turn it into a nice little arc(or a long one, depending on how you want it to go)
