Okay, since I opened my mouth on this one, I figured I should get the ball rolling.
I kind of liken this to the Ultimate universe by Marvel so without further ado

Jordan "The Icon" Rossi
Jordan's basic eruption story hasn't changed. He erupted fairly young (depending on the starting year, either in late high school or early colege/university) during a gymnastics meet. This is where things change however. Shortly after his eruption Jordan was recruited by the Canadian government into their fledgeling National Nova Program "The Northguard Initiative."

Due to his Mega-Socials, Jordan has quickly become the "face" of the Northguard. He appears on television programs, in magazines, Calenders and so on. I see Northguard in much the same light as Nippontai, Australis and Nordlesyne.

Jordan's Power Theme is "Perfection of Mind, Body and Spirit" Basically this means all megas and lots of enhancements and no powers.

That's the very rough idea. I've got points worked out basically but nothing set in stone.

If I have 10 more Quantum points from starting at Q3 I'm not sure what I do. I'm willing to zero out his "Clone" weakness but will resist eliminating it. And Bad Vibe goes a LONG way to dealing with the entire "he's inhuman but not tainted".

Playing with lots of ideas now. I'll narrow it down...

Genesis - Matter creation/engineering genius.

Visage - TK (ectoplasmic arms), force field, possibly some illusion...

Max Power! - Armor + Q Bolt!

Facade - Copycat, mega socials...maaaaaaybe some Shapeshift. MAYBE some Q-imprint. Might not work the way I want it to, though I will still throw it out for discussion later.

Whisper - Subtle Telepathy and Mirage. Mega Int, Manipulation. Shadowy info broker. Lots of Cipher. Influence.

-- To be clear: Not proposing all these. These are just the pool I'm going to be narrowing down from.

Long 2.0- Temporal manipulation, mega-perception, mega-intelligence, mega-wits, flight. Long was always the elder "brain" in the Hideyoshi family. He erruted while cramming for his junior finals. There simply wasn't enough time in the day and he was severely stressing over it, due to one of the teachers warning him of the impending difficulty. He can manipulate the passage of time to great effect, and this ability has strengthened since his initial erruption.

Two possibles:

Richter 10 - MegaStrength, Armor, and Bodymorph Stone, EA/EM Stone. A geologist who was caught in a landslide during an earthquake he now find himself trapped in a body of rock, cut off from normal human senses (no sense of smell or taste, limited tactile response). He has immense strength, stone/rosk like body, and the ability to manipulate stone and rock. Tainted.

unnamed - Power theme centers around snakes, possesses a snake-like trunk in place of his lower body, scaly skin, poison, reptile regeneration, control of snakes etc. Not tainted.

I'm still trying to determine if it's worth trying to fit Xeno (a protoplasmic personality-simulator) into a 'letter of the law' rules-enforced environment. I'll probably try and write something up, and let the mods make the call.

Among the few (relatively) less abnormal ideas I am also toying with:

Clive "Builder" Allen: A one-man architectural and construction firm.

User Name: A cyberkinetic shape-shifter who takes identity theft to a whole new level.

Ossuary: An archaeological anthropologist who was arguably a bit too focused on skeletons at the time of eruption.

Jimmy Hoppa - An amphibious nova with frog like taint who can disappear at random. He currently leads something important.

Joan Jett - A hyper fast flying nova who currently leads a New York street gang called The Black Hearts.

Gary Gygax - A super intelligent engineer nova that designs some of the coolest buildings in the world. Unfortunately no one ever lives long enough to leave them.

Or I'll just play Revenant... who knows.

It's kinda up in the air. Ya know?

Here is a rough outline.. still tossing around a few ideas. once decsions are made as to structure of characters, I will be able to decide.

I'll bring Nova "Flicker" Madigan and Meghan "Mithril" Cutter, but I'm going to totally re-write their origins and powersets. About the only thing that will be the same is their personalities.

Oh yeah, Pookums will be there.

I'm going to do Vile Bill. Same basic guy, still a brick but no poison powers. Something diffrent.

Yes you should, and I like them both as-is. Vixen needs to not be such a loner, though.

That said, change is fun. Mix it up. Do something new with them.

I've always liked both of them. I say do eet!

I'll be playing Vv, definitely (probably Mega-Socials, Telepathy, Emotional Manip. and Holo and/or Mirage, with possible variations), though her background and specific power scheme will be rewritten along with some tweaks to her personality.

Possibly Artemis, as well, since I always enjoyed her in our TT game and couldn't play her effectively in 2018 once I found out how similar she was to Carver.

Gerad will be making an appearance, this time going back to his operative days in the Directive. At least for now, I'll be focusing more on his role as anti-nova operative and two-fisted spy/detective than as a tech genius, though that will still be a part of his character. As before, he'll score high with Mega-Int and Quantum Forgery/Quantum Copycat.

He probably won't start with Mega-Bastard, but will still not be a ray of sunshine.

The other character I'd like to bring in is pending a ruling on an aspect of character creation.

My character is a retune of a guy I ran before. This time instead of going with Coyote the trickster, he's going with the other totem. I'm still statting him out but post-eruption he's able to exude a substance of silvery appearance having the dubious quality of telling the laws of physics to please shut up and sit down for a moment. Everything he can do will be based off the chrome; which is frictionless, hungry for energy and lots of fun at parties. That's about it until finish writing it up other than to say I'm shooting for the 30-45NP range. I want to leave myself room for development.

I think I'll be bringing Jason Grant back. Of course, hammering a Q7 L4 power using Character into the Q5 50NP framework isn't gonna be easy.

Also, his story needs revamping and updating. The original character had been in a coma under the tender care of Triton for 14 years (erupted in '98) but I don't think I want rehash that background.

Basic Premise; A Kansas farmboy who's power theme revolves around Manipulating the Quantum Fields of Novas (both his and others).

Quantum imprint... Disruption.... Node Spark if you can figure out how he has a Terat signature power... Sounds easy but then I don't exactly the Q7L4 power you're referring to.

He had Quantum Authority. I know I'm not going to be able to completely recreate what he could do, which is fine for this reboot as long as I can recreate the feel of the character.

And yes he has those 3 powers, amung others. He's not going to be vergy good at many of them, but he has them

Oh hey, I decided on the name for the character since I don't think the old names would be a good fit anymore.

Vortex.

TUM TUM NOT KNOW WHY YOU WANNA SEE TUM TUM IN SILLY BACK TIME. TUM TUM DONE EATEN ALLA FOOD AND HAD ALLA WOMENS THEN. TUM TUM GONNA GO BACK SLEEP.

While chatting I came up with what in my opinion is a pretty bitchin' character concept.

A nova born into a family of rich, eccentric religious fanatics. He erupted with Warp and mega-stamina due to an unfortunate playground incident that resulted in two children disappearing onto the face of Mars. The family, however, didn't care. They saw it as their way out of this corrupt planet.

In short, they all moved to Io.

It's solely through this nova's efforts that they were able to manage it; he shipped in anything and everything needed and wasn't afraid to take command; technology too, yes; this family had a love-hate relationship with technology. Over time, the family began to revere him almost as an archangel or god in his own right and his power began to rival the family head. Neither minded, and the nova barely noticed.

That was until his teenage cousin decided she still liked Earth after all. Pretty soon he had allowed himself to be cajoled into transporting her - a few minutes on the OpNet, that was all she wanted, she promised. And she more or less kept to that, if you can call half an hour a few minutes. But the nova had become intrigued. The OpNet just looked too damn interesting. He developed an itch.

He started coming back. With and without her. And here he is...

Please, please reconsider!

She's your basic starting blaster/flyer, with some Mega-Atties. For a change, she'll have low Chr; let's see if I can write her that way, since I failed with BZ.

And that is all at this point. I'll see if I can do those two first before I consider my others.

I know that Jedi's have been done, but I recently created one for a pbem game that has yet to get off the ground. I am thinking of playing that character. Hopefully, I can make him interesting and not be the typical fanboy interpretation. He ends up committing murder during his eruption using force lightning(Qbolt) and has anger issues so he won't exactly be the squeaky clean type.

Just in time for Force Unleashed...



Where the hell am I?

Artemis: Animal/Plant Mastery, Claws, Regen, basically. In our TT game, she had a similar problem to Carver's in 2018 (the split psyche caused by her eruption was eventually resolved), but I'll likely play her without that since it's such a big part of Dawn's character in that section.

This is just what I think now. I may change my mind.

Nova "Flicker" Madigan, age 15: adaptability, mega-dex, combat teleport. Meghan "Mithril" Cutter, age 27: similar to the 2018 version, only older. (Both will start with fewer than 50 NP to allow for story-driven power development.)

Pookums the cat: just a little kitten.
