Hi all. In order to prevent irregularities in voting, writers exceeding the character limit, or banned writers from sneaking into the setting, a census is necessary.
Every writer participating in the 200X setting please identify yourself in a meaningful way, and list your characters, mentioning which are 2018 reboots and which are original creations. This top post will be updated as writers add their information.

I'm actually having kind of a hard time.

I keep coming up with game characters...but this isn't for games, it's for stories. I make a character, then realize I don't really have a story for it...so it goes nowhere.

So I dunno. We'll see if I get an idea or not.

Hey, Flicker, maybe put a note in the Shout Box? I know that some of the people who's characters are listed aren't on with regularity. Some of them may have missed this.

Dr. Robert White is a reboot of The White Rat (2018), not a reboot of Dr. Robert White. There is no Dr. Robert White in 2018.

Addendum: I was under the impression that only one new (original) character could be created within the first 30 days of the new era, and the second afterward per the 200X Bible, but if this list is correct, a couple of people have already created two.

Was this an oversight, or am I misinterpreting the rule? Here's what I'm talking about.

One in the first thirty days only, and one any time during 2008. So two could be created within the first thirty days, but that would leave none at all for the rest of the year.

The rule might need to be re-written, then. As it reads currently, it states that no more than one new character may be created in the first 30 days.

I'm not convinced of the need to rewrite a rule that will be obsolete in seven days.

Hey everyone. Love the idea for 200X, so I've decided to reboot Procyon as "Peter Nord" (No Nova name as yet).

Procyon will be bad news with a capital B and N for Flicker. She's got this habit of throwing herself at dodgy older men. . .

I can't wait.

Mr Nord's not exactly the same as Procyon: I'm taking the "he zigged when the other one zagged" approach. That said, he's a fun character and definitely fits the profile of dodgy older man.

Oh, and the idea I've had for his nova name is kick-a-lickin'
