So I have a new job. Environmental Sciences at Utopia. I'll be assigned to the monitoring and study of the new Ethiopian bio-web - the matrix of interaction between all the organisms that have been reintroduced as part of the terraforming project.

I'll be moving to Addis Ababa, and since I'm told a lot of novas hang their hats there I thought I'd ask if anyone could tell me anything about it that's not on the Wikipedia page.

I've been there a few times, both before and after the restoration.

From the look of it, the Wiki page is pretty thorough. All I'd add is that it's become the kind of city where you won't be afraid to lock your doors or leave your car running for a moment while you duck into the 7/11, and it's fastidiously clean.

Don't expect privacy anywhere in the city, inside or out. If they can't see you, they can pick up your heat register. If they can't hear you, they'll be reading your body language. This isn't true of everyone all the time, but you're a nova, so expect it. AA has taken London's nanny state model and ramped it up a few hundred percent.

If there's anything specific you want to know, shoot.

Good luck working for the Project.
