actually now that I review in preparation to update I'm not sure I understand your plan. Where exactly are you thinking to find the "HQ" as it were for the city? and What is your plan for talking to said leaders?

not sure what is going to happen if the guy calls my bluff, but the fate of the world is at stake and I'm not going to let some power-tripping security guard destroy the human race just because he doesn't want to be bothered. If he says no, Raider will mostly likely go ghost form and walk right through him. Which will probably lead to a fight between them and the 'body guards'. Hope that doesn't happen.

Combat Paralysis isn't that bad... it's only a reduction of your Init die. Ah... maybe a better question is "how high is your soak"?

RE: Raider and the Guard
Remember to say "That's One" when he makes his move. Hopefully if he makes it to Two he'll stop there. If Pax or someone like him gives you that count you had darn well stop at "Two". Unlike a movie, after the first two shots the guard should realize how badly outmatched he is and what will happen after "Three"...

...which in this case might be nothing.

Yep, it is a sucker bet... and Raider is obviously a nova and he has backup. Even if he's lying about James this might not be something a low level flunky wants to put himself on the line over.

Totally my fault. Basically, I've had a major writing block regarding this game's character. And of course, the longer I waited to go and post, the worse I felt about doing it...making it easier to put off more...etc etc.

I know what role I'm shooting for. I have some solid choices I've come up with as far as powers. I even have a pretty good backstory and character, I believe. So it's not without fruit, this time out I've taken.

Need to consult the books on a couple of things but Raider will probably not be able to escape both Anna and Courier at the same time. Further Anna having both the huze size merit and the bulging muscles aberration may be simply too massive for Raider to attune, I need to check what Raider's attunement rating is and what the attunement mass is for that rating

Doug plus his gear is already getting pretty close to the limit. He's built to be a big guy.

Usually the maximum for Attune 5 would be 100 kg or appr. another person.

Anna is 'downsized' heavier than that - muscles are heavier than fat...

Agreed even w/o bulging muscles huge size would be enough to top 100kg w/o much effort. Add to that and Anna's one big girl ... in a good way though

Giving it some more thought I believe Anna would be somewhere in the range between 200 kg and 300 kg. (Just for future reference)

Given your natural strength is 5 I'd have to say that you and your equipment top out over 100kg (220lbs).

At any rate I'm going to update today, any changes in your plan being that Raider is not going to be able to phase you guys?

100kg? With his Mega-Strength he can casually carry around a lot more than that. He paid for M-Str directly so it's not a maintenance power or anything and it doesn't go up or down. He also doesn't have dorm or attune, so there are no complicating factors.

Doug's gear is: Eufiber Vest of throwing spears... and whatever else is appropriate but still keeps him under the Raider's weight limit.

ahem - what I meant was that Raider's attunement limit was 100kg and your mass naked would likely be over that given your natural str 5 requires some hefty muscle mass

Edit - It's possible with minimal equipment you might just squeeze under but I'm not sure.

Anna could stay sizemorphed and just go "through" the structure her way?
