To host a game on RPG-Post.com you simply have to have a minimum of 3 players with completed characters for a ST driven game. You can post something in this forum if you'd like to look for players for your game.

If you would like to create an open concept forum that does not require a ST there must still be someone willing to oversee the forum. These open games require a minimum of 10 people with completed characters.

Frequency of posts are up to the particulars of the group, but it is recommends that anyone wanting to ST a game should be available to post or read posts almost every day. Players should be able to post multiple times a week.

Once you have enough players to start your game, you need to contact me and I will set up the initial forum for you. All games will follow format of RPG Game: Your Game Title.

All games require as least one thread dedicated to discussing the game and the rules so that potential new players can learn more about your game.

The forum, while dedicated to your game, will be open to all guests to view and all members to post. As of this writing we have not had a problem with someone posting in a game that they do not belong. Visitors may inquire about the game in your rules thread. If something happens that is unexpected in your game from an outside source you have the ability to delete any post. If a problem persists contact me and I will take care of it for you.

ST/Moderators may request additional forums after meeting all of the following criteria.

2nd Forum
  • 15+ Threads
  • 150+ Posts

3rd Forum
  • 30+ Threads
  • 300+ Posts

4th Forum
  • 75+ Threads
  • 1000+ Posts

5th Forum
  • 150+ Threads
  • 2000+ Posts

There must be at least 5 existing threads to move into the new subforum before it will be created.

If no in game posts have been made in one month the game may be moved to the archives. Once a game is archived all subforums are removed and all posts within those forums are moved back to the base forum. If people are interested in restarting the game it can be restored at any time once regular posting resumes.

Being a moderator on this site does require a commitment of time, as well as a regularity of posting. We all understand that real life affects us all and try to be considerate to the issues that others face. But with that being said, everyone puts in a lot of time into the games and people want to make sure their time isn't for naught.

As a mod, if you are going to be absent for more than 2 weeks, please inform the players and other mods. If a mod is absent from the forum for 6 weeks, then the players have a right to know what is going on, or to make other arrangements.

As a player if at any point in time you don't feel that you are getting the input you feel is required from the mod, then you can and should PM them and let them know. This is just input that should be discussed, and the site is no way involved with this discussion.

In the event that a moderator of a game you are playing in has been inactive for more than 6 weeks, please post a new thread in the game's forum asking if anyone has had contact with the mod. If the players haven't heard from the mod, then send a PM to the moderator informing them that they have been absent from the game for an extended period of time and that the players would like to continue with the game. Ask them if they are interested in continuing to moderate the game, and please copy me on the PM. If they decline, or a week passes without a response, the players can decide to promote someone else to take over the game. Or the game can simply be archived if no one is willing to continue on.
