At this time I am mulling over in my mind if I want to offer entry into the fruity 5 to some of the people here on the site. As for how I intend to play it you will have to wait and see. Like many ideas of mine it is a living thing and will no doubt evolve as I play through it. Will it be purely serious? Satirical? Silly? Maybe all of those I'm not sure yet.

As for outing who the player of a PC is I'm just disappointed because it prevents me from creating this PC in a vacuum, people will no doubt look at the creation differently knowing from whom it comes from.

*shrugs* It's no less credible, and no more game-breaking in terms of verisimilitude than characters who are already in play. I don't know who Citronic's player is, and I honestly don't care. Yes, it's a rather wacky concept, but whether the player intends to treat the character and his story humorously or seriously, he was approved by the moderators just like everyone else.

I have since come to appreciate the character, so its fine with me. Its certainly possible given the strangness of other novas with bodymorphs.

Character sheet question for Citronic. You have his bodymorph as including Density Decrease. However under his vitals his Grapefruit form is actually heavier. Which one is in error or is there something I'm not seeing that reconciles the two?

Apologies, that mass is with his "armored rind". Also he has a larger volume as a grapefruit which accounts for some of the mass. In this case DD is meant to simulate that he is squishy (or Extra Ripe -n- Juicy).

Hmmm, well looking at 1 dot of DD, it gives you a +1 to dodge and lets you ooze through cracks, albeit slowly. Maybe not the best thing to simulate a solid that is ripe and juicy. As a solid Bodymorph you already get the +1 difficulty to hit you so that helps. Have you considered something like Bounce? I don't especially care what you do with it but mechanically speaking it doesn't seem like the best dot to simulate what you want. No offense intended, just noticing.

After reading your latest post in the plane thread it gave me an idea: Quantum Conversion: Juice! Juice to juice baby! Im thinking maybe 1 Quantum point should get you at least 5 to 10 gallons of ruby red....

Yep, pretty much everything IS matter and energy. Interchangeable concepts really. And I think the idea bastion, is to not confuse a description with an appropriately applicable game mechanic.

The world will never know. I agree, it's a shame, but the Mods made their decision and it's final. Neither side is going to convince the other that they're right, so it doesn't really matter.

Just a factoid I wanted to bring up about the smell of grapefruit on the plane. This of course doesnt affect what already occured and by the nature of quantum aberrations it could easily bypass the normal way of things. Our sense are designed to tune out constant stimulation. For example if something is touching your skin with a constant rate of pressure, the nerve feeling its touch turn off. Adjust the pressure though even slightly and the sensory nerves fire again. Same thing with smell. If you are subjected to an unpleasent smell, after a few minutes you dont smell it anymore as your sense adapt. I remember this was illustrated quite pungently in middle school when one day water damage to the building left our classroom smeeling strongly of mildew. After a few minutes though, we couldn't smell it anymore.


This also applies to hearing, as when in a quiet room if you turn the sound down, it will eventually sound normal again and not "quiet" and taste. Its why some nutrition experts reccommend eating desert in small amounts a little taste at a time. After the fourth or fifth big moutful of sweetness its not as potent as that first taste.

I also fudged the science on the Petrified Lightning btw. The image I used was actually palagonite but it came up in a search for fulgerite, the technical term for lightning glass. Fulgerite is normally very ugly as I discoverd, but if Sweet Home Alabama can fudge reality for the sake of the story than I can too...

I didn't get over anything, the problem still exists believe me. The moderators and I disagreed, I let em have it with both barrels, and they requested I remove my PC from the roster. In that debacle, the fault lies with me.

We were mad, now we ain't, they invited me back. The reason I was asked to leave and things I need to 'get over' are two totally separate monsters.
