Not really singled out, I just read it and thought that it matched what he was setting out for based on what he described he wanted to do.
As far as I could tell, there's no changes that need to made... like amazing equipment, or invulnerable shielding, or trying to nab every skill in the book so he can be good at everything.
Rorx's write up is a good one, as is Vivi's. I haven't seen the new Android model yet and Adrian still seems undecided.

MW - Gabe's Artifact 'Implant - Right Arm' In fact this apears to be a cross between a starfish and a cuttlefish, in that it has the 8 arms of the cuttle fish, but of more variable length apparently, but is pretty flat. Only one eye is visible on the surface, ther may be another on the side which has tightly bound itself to and in many places through the skin of Gabes right forearm. Scans show that it has numerous fibres projected from its body and arms/tentacles that have connected to the capilliaries and nerve fibres of the arm.
From a distance it could be mistaken for a tatoo, but any inspection at conversation distance would reveal it to be a creature of some kind.
The idea that came out of discussion in chat Dave was something like a parasitic symbiote from Rifts (the Atlantis books I think). A monitoring device it blacks Gabe out periodically (once per adventure, perhaps at/near the end), when the one eye showing opens, in order to make a report back to it's masters using it's Star Transceiver. When it is reporting it has a much greater range than the 10LY ability that Gabe has sub-consciously been able to hack into due to his Psionics.
Who it's masters are and why they are interested in reports of what Gabe and/or the party are upto is of course up to Dave

Nice idea Jordon. I have gone through the numbers again and I afraid I think you are still overspent. Int = 50 sp human = +5 sp perks = -3 sp flaws = +8 sp Total = 60 sp
Adding up what you seem to have spent I get 62 sp.
On the other hand basic kit like some clothes etc we weren't being charged for, and the CF Long coat in the Arms and Equipment book is only $800.
How long has Jordan been with the ship and what does he do on board?

Yep, as I get the same discount for my Mindwalker.
Did you remember that during creation the sp cost for multiple ranks are as per the book rather than the discounted version Dave is using during play? So two ranks of say Contact, with discount for Orlamu is 2sp for Rank 1 and 3sp for Rank 2, total of 5 sp.
I got the following costs for you. Acrobatics + Defensive MA = 7+5 = 12 Primitive Ranged + Bow = 7 +4 = 11, Running total = 23 Resolve + mental = 5 + 3 = 8, RT = 31 TK + Psychokinesis + K Shield (2) = 5 + 2 + 3 = 10, RT = 41 Telepathy + Contact (2) + Mind Blast (2) + Mind Shield (2) + Suggest (1) = 4 + 5 + 7 + 3 + 2 = 21, RT = 62

I ran Jordan through a generator- I didn't do it by hand. No house-rule point values- everything by the book. He's got 1sp left over from 60.
I ran yours through, Rorx, and you've used all of your 65sp, with no overages.

This is the one I use, but there are others out there. Dave, I think, uses one called the Sigma Quadrant Alternity Tool.

Vivi - cheers for that pointer. Unfortunately, I still make Jordan 2 pts overspent?! Did you get all the skills he has two ranks in?
Jordan - yep I know about the house rule, I refered to it a post or two ago, but it does NOT apply during character generation, see point 2 in Dave's post.
Your right Rorx, I didn't read that carefully enough. Also, the character generator doesn't allow for that level for specialized house rules....it's an either/or coice.
I've lowered Contact to rank 1 bringing my spent points to 59, with 1 point banked. That should solve any issues.
as for the gear. Jordan at this point shouldn't have a lot of gear, so I don't mind spending his money for things more modern character take for granted. also, my copy of the players guide has the CF Longcoat at 1,000 cr. The Shortcoat is 750 cr however...
As for the ship, he really doen't do anything. Remember he's a PL 4 Primitive so he wouldn't have any skills that realate to starship operations. He's basically a hired "gun" (archer) and uses his psi powers to help on jobs.
And yes he is willing to learn about the modern world. It's why he left his colony in the first place. Any tech skills are going to have to deal with a hefty penalty until he buys off the flaw however.

+2 step penalty isn't it? And can't buy off until 6th Lvl, rather you than me.
I've only got the Alien Artifact flaw to buy off and the Old injury. Mind you I wonder if Dave would let me convert the Alien Artifact Flaw into a similar Perk for enough points?
So how long has Jordan been on the ship, and what does he think of the others...?
