That's pretty crazy. I want one too, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay that much for one. I think I'll wait a few months and buy one. Especially since I think this first batch will have some problems with it.

I know what I'm doing when the PS3 comes out, I'll be buying about 3 of them and selling them all on ebay.

Microsoft undermanufactured for this release to a near-criminal extreme. That said, I thank the gods that I'm not one of these hardcore platform junkies that wants or needs one of these toys.

I lost all interest in console gaming after the Super Nintendo.

Now that's an interesting take on this. I'm not sure if it's true though, ideally what they really want is to put as many units in as many hands as possible. It's not like they make extra money from ebay madness and they are trying to beat the other two game makers.
