Dwarfstar looks aorund the group briefly, "Well it would be easier if you came with us rather than trying to explain. If you can fly you could follow us, if not one of us could either carry you back to base, or you could allow Tess here to teleport you back there. It's up to you, and what you would feel most comfortable with?"

"I could follow," he said softly, sounding like taking orders from someone else would be a relief. He tugged the robe around his body a little tighter, which helped Tessa's concentration a bit more. But not completely; he'd have to be in a full robe and hajib for that to happen.

"All right, let's go then."

"I can't fly," Tessaract pointed out. "If you have no more need of me, I will meet you at the headquarters. I can let them know you're coming, and ask them to make preparations for him."

Tessaract did as she proposed, and the others took to the air to get back the headquarters. Thirty-one was silent, his eyes on the city as he flew back.

By the time they were there, Chad had arranged for breakfast and loaner sweats for Thirty-one. His old job working for the LA super heroes had steeled him for such occurences and there wasn't even surprise in his eyes. There was sarcasm. "Perhaps our guest would care to have pants? From the way that robe flaps around, I think someone failed his kilt-wearing class."

"Ahhh, Cheerios." Roxanne sits down, swivelling her chair and straddling is as has become her habit. She tucks in. "So tell us about yourself, Thirty-One. Who's after you and where are you from?" I hope he lets me run a test or two on him. If he's not in the xenobiology database we could learn so much from him.

Dwarfstar takes his waffles and bacon and a large mug of coffee and sits next to Vixen.
"Or anything else you can remember that might help us to help you."

Tessaract appears abruptly, holding several pairs of pants and a selection of pullover shirts. She drops them unceremoniously in Thirty-One's lap, gives the others present a nod of acknowledgement, then vanishes again.

A moment later she says over the intercom, "Please tell me when he's dressed."

Thirty-one looked confused by Vixen and Dwarfstar's questions, but whatever he was going to say was cut off by Tessa succinct delivery of clothes. "I..." Slowly he stood, and after studying others' clothing, he managed to get the clothes on, though he had the pants backwards. As he sat down, all those oriented toward men in the room had to admit that he made the mundane clothing look sexy.

He ate a spoonful of cereal, his eyes widening at the sweet taste. Without further hesitation, he started to shovel the food into his mouth, speaking between bites. "The Others, from their Storm Palace, they have kept me there. They have others like me, the hybrids. I couldn't get them out." His eyes were sad and he stopped eating for a moment. "Just me."

Vixen tapped the intercom. "He's dudded up, Tess."

She turned back to him. "Others like you? In a storm palace. Hybrids... you said they were hybrids like you. What are you a hybrid of, exactly?"

"The Others. And you." He looked glanced at everyone but Vixen. "The Others would bring in humans, and would create us from them. I'm not sure how, because the equipment is all in other rooms, but I've heard them talking, and I saw them bringing in babies. I was told I was brought into the holding room like that once, by Four."

Tesseract soundlessly appears again and primly takes a seat. She watches the other team members, only looking at their guest out of the corners of her eyes.

Ditto had found a boon companion... someone that could shovel food away as fast as he could and still manage to talk through it all... Thirty-Something was just awesome.

As Ditto launched spoonful of cereal into his mouth in between whole pancakes the assembled team had quit worrying long ago if he ever bothered to chew.

"Sho... wemme git dif strayt..." He said with a mouth full off food. "Yera thuper cwone?"

(So let me get this straight, you're a super clone?")

"I don't like the sounds of human babies being taken for experimentation. Can you tell us anything else about these 'Other's' or where they had been keeping you?" commented Dwarfstar as he washed the last of his breakfast down with another mug of coffee.

"It was... in the city," Thirty-one said. His impressive eyes had turned away from them, and he had the feeling he was seeing the place he'd come from again. "There's... water, all around. We were in the lab, and there's no windows. But I got into the hall, and saw the sun and the sea, and I fled.

"I'm not a clone," he added. "I'm an artificially created hybrid."

"What were you hybridized with?" Tessaract asks. "Human, at least partially, but what else?"

She considers, still without looking at him, then adds, "And can you show us the location of the place you escaped from on a map?"

"The sun and the sea... hmm."

Vixen gets up and goes to dig out an atlas, intending to see if Thirty-One can match where he came from to any coastline.

"Mmm..." Ditto grinned and swallowed an impossibly huge mouthful of food, his mailable features allowed his neck to give way and swell up like a cartoon character to accommodate all of it before it reached his stomach. "The sun and the sea... man that reminds me, we got vacation time coming up, I say we hit the Bahamas for bikinis and surfing. That place about all the sun and sea one person can get!"

He was lost for only a moment in his daydream of vacationing in the bikini capitol of the world when the sudden realization that he hadn't eaten anything for over fifteen seconds struck him like a thunderbolt and moved him on to more important things. "Hey," He said as he got up to walk over to the counter. "Anyone want more bacon?"

"I'm a vegetarian. I'll pass." Vixen digs through the atlas.

Chad brings Vixen several atlases. The problem with most of them is that anything east of the Bahamas within the Bermuda Triangle is a bit iffy. Weather gets really bad out there, erratically; the Bahamas are safe, usually, but much past those islands, things can become dangerous.

After conferring with Thirty-One, he identified Abaco Island as one he passed over on his way there. By all appearances, Thirty-One came from within the No-Man's Land of the Triangle.

"Well, this looks like a solid lead. Do you want to head over there, Thirty-One? See what's happening?"

"Back to Them?" he asked nervously. "No, I don't ever want to go back. I barely got out once. I don't know if I'd make it out again." He paused. "Though... I'd like to get Eight out. She was... nice."

"Whatever's happening out there, it seems to be creating beings with abilities violating dimensional limits," Tesseract notes. "I am obliged to investigate."

She looks at each other person, avoiding only their guest's face.

"I can accept a short delay if you wish to join me and need time to prepare."

Dwarfstar readily answers, "Hmm, I'll go along, just let me finish this coffee. Looks like it will be flying a lot of the time. Although I guess we could teleport out to that island to start with."

"I'm for a trip to the Bahamas," Ditto said as he tossed bacon onto his plate. "I had plans to run errands today anyway, we're outta T.P. and Cherry Coke. Let's cruise on down there, pick up this Eight chick, hit the grocery store and be back in time for some grillin' on the roof."

"I'm up for it. Chad, if you inform the Blue Team where we're going I can be ready in five minutes."

A piece of bacon hung from Ditto's mouth during the long silence that seemed to come over the room. "Sooooo, uh... what now?"

Dwarfstar looks over to Tess, "How about it Tess, do you think you could transport us as far as Abaco island? From there I guess we'll need to make provision for a boat or those that can fly carry those that can't."

Tesseract looks from the beautiful stranger to Dwarfstar, appearing momentarily startled.

"I can take us all directly there at any time," she replies. "As soon as I know who's going, and they let me know they're ready I will do so."

Dwarfstar nods to her reply then looks around the room at teh others, "Well then we better all get ready. If you have anythong you want to pick up I suggest you go get it. We'll meet back here in 10 minutes."

"Before bringing a lot of equipment," Tesseract adds, "Remember I can easily return here and go back to the island, should we need anything."

"I'm ready when you all are. I could go there now."

"As am I Vixen, but I thought I'd give anyone who wanted to grab something a chance to get it."

He pauses in thought briefly, "Actually a camera and perhaps some handcuffs might be handy. To document our findings and apprehend people. Having said that we won't have any jurisdiction out there will we, so anything we do will be as private citizens and potentially illegal?"

"Correct," Chad said, "but it's the fu-rackin' Bahamas - who is going to tell you to stop? They don't have defenders, and if you're apprending criminals, I don't see them caring."

"You can't," Thirty-One rasped. He looked pale, almost sick. "You can't just walk in there. I almost didn't get out."

"Relax," Ditto said to Thirty-One, grinning and holding up a hand to stop any more protest. "Dude, we're Supers. We do this kinda stuff all the time. Just another day at the office."

He hopped and clapped his hands to loosen up a bit. "C'mon guys, for crying out loud you could talk till nightfall and still not say anything. Let's just go, kick butt, and be done with it."

"Very well," Tessaract said calmly. "Relocating in three...two...one..."

The room convulsed around the team and vanished, leaving them adrift in inky darkness. Tessaract wasn't there. A moment later the darkness melted away and there was a sensation like a shove from all directions at once.

And then sunlight. Blindingly bright off of white sand that everyone dropped a couple of inches onto.

Tess looked around, squinting disapprovingly against the sudden light.

"The map was inaccurate. I was aiming farther inland. I do think I have the right island."

"Yeah, that can always be a problem Tess. Maps are only good to a percent or two generally. Nice transport though, Thanks."

Dwarfstar then turns to examine the area around them and to get his bearings so that he has some idea which direction they need to head in.

They were looking into the early-morning sun, while the water stretched north and south. The sand was warm, the beach was blue - and in front of them, below the rising sun, the ever-present storm that was the Bermuda Triangle.

"Well, then. I guess we go in on foot or by air?"

"Well from what our vistor told us earlier I gather that he flew in, so I guess we'll have to fly out that way to locate the place, somewhere in that lot I assume?", Dwarfstar finishes pointing towards the heart of the Bermuda Triangle

"Oh, Christ. No one start talking about parallel worlds and magical ley lines and all that crap I hear about the Bermuda Triangle." Despite her skepticism, however, Vixen sniffed the air, perhaps wondering if any of that strange scent she sometimes picked up would be here.

Vixen had never been this close to one of the Bermuda Storms, not since gaining her 'magic' sniffer. And as she sniffed, she expected to smell rain, wind, seawater and ozone.

What she smelled was all that and the bitter tang of magic. But this wasn't like what she normally smelled. It was twisted somehow, tainted. Wrong.

"Hwugh." Vixen suddenly looked wobbly on her feet. "Okay... nn. Okay. I take all that back. I can smell it, all that... that weird scent, but it smells bad. Not like it did before. Something's in there all right..."

Tessaract gives Vixen a curious look, then inhales through her nose.

"I don't smell anything unusual. I could transport us into the storm, but without anything to stand on I would fall into the water on arriving. If one of you were to carry me while flying, or arrange for a boat, that would correct that problem."

"Boat. Boat boat boat." She cast around, looking out to sea... and smiled. She pointed. "Boat."

A thin green beam sprang forth from her finger. It hit the water, and a patch of the ocean shimmered, forming a small schooner, with seats enough for all.

"Boat!"

Not water. A boat. Holy crap.

Tessaract stared for a moment, then produced from her pocket something that looked a little like a conch seashell made of flat, dull black plastic or metal or something. It seemed...off, somehow. Its dimensions and proportions changed subtly as she moved in her hands, and some of the things she seemed to touch weren't actually in it, or on it...some were inside it, or around it.

She looked at Vixen again after studying the thing intently, then nodded and put the strange doohickey away before stepping onto the boat.

"Thank you. Are the rest of you coming?"

Dwarfstar does a slight double-take between Vixen and the boat, and ends up looking to Vixen, "Nice boat Vixen. Now does anyone know how to sail one of those, cause I know I don't."

"Irrelevant," Tessaract reports. "We won't be moving over the water. The boat is only necessary to give us a place to stand once we arrive."

"That's all very well," sayd Dwarfstar as he turns to Tess, "but we don't have a map or anything like a map to say where we need to in that mess to target a 'port from."

He turns again to include Thirty One, "Can you at least give us an estimate of distance and direction?"

Tessaract didn't seem too concerned. "The storm is in line of sight. I can take us there without difficulty. Then it's just a matter of having one of you fly up to get a longer distance view."
