Thing is, Sandy, there's an enourmous amount of prep work that goes into most launches into space - assuming you can't survive up there on your own. Everything needs to be checked, standardized, and rechecked. Even the tiniest flaw could kill someone who doesn't adapt well to hard vaccum. The astronauts of the Discovery were lucky - those on the Challenger, less so.

I suppose I could just dorm, though. See what effects it has on a more standardized nova physiology, the most common elements of which I retain while dormed. Hypersenses or no hypersenses, I bet it'd be something to see out there in the endless blackness.

I should take my little replica of the Enterprise-E out of cold storage in my basement and send it adrift while I'm up there...

I work hard to go into space..It just happens to be tat I don't have to...Any waysEver found out how you fly?As some novas cann't fly in space.I mean anymore than people who can't fly on earth.

As so the porn star,Niles Smithe, used to be a porn star, now is a CEO of a bible publishering house. It's stocks went up 50,000% in six months. So that ten thousand dollars I put into them well turned into five mil.So, to Endeavor I give you a the most inflated 10,000 dolars you will ever need.

In case you worried about the money, let's jut say that I am a big fan of yours.

I haven't seen any new post by her. You said that her messages were being answered by a doctor and in her last post here she seemed a bit disoriented, so I'm wondering if she has come down with some Nova level flu or something.

Nova level flu? That could be a bad thing...

What if it is contagious?

If it's contagious, then hopefully it won't be too much of a problem - Nova physiology has come up with some funky antigens. A few of which, I believe, have been synthesised and adapted for use with Baselines.

At any rate, from what I've been seeing, I'm guessing her absence is not from any physical ailment. When I see her later today, I shall ask her what's happening...

How do I fly? Er... I just think, "go up" and I go up. Scientifically speaking I don't have a clue - I'm guessing it might be gravity manipulation although I don't pick up any gravitational anomalies with the gear I have on loan from Pinnacle.

I'm not sure what that means.

Endeavor's been through a hell of a lot of stress in recent months. I think the trip is briefly on hold until we find out what's what.

Okay, even though I got scrawny dude candy striper that gives me my meds, and shakespere to read, I'm still bored. I got to have something to look foreward to when I get out... So, heres the deal. I'd like to start planning now, so that when I get out and get organized we can get going with this. 2 months of planning should make a safe trip. If I stay here longer, that's a good thing too. More planning. So, let's begin, shall we?
1: Who's all going
2: Who needs space suits
3: how long we plan on staying?
I need to organize my thoughts a bit so if I'm looping back on myself, that's why.

Oh... O.O forgot about ronin... Don't worry, the nerd is only a distraction... The only guy that understands my technobabble around here. ... frigging meds wearing off...
gotta jet.

Sakurako, REST, a little trip out before two months have passed might be in order but right now, REST.

Seeing that everyone one else is all geared up to go, it seems a shame to leave things hanging, does anyone need anymore planning time? Is everyone still interested?

Sakurako we can pick you up for a few hours Lunar RR once the docs OK it, ronin can be very persuasive wink so I'm sure they'll let you out.

No worries, beautiful, I don't feel threatened by the Trekkie who delivers your medication. I met the guy, as a matter of fact. In high school, he and I probably would have been bosom chums. He's a decent fellow, though he does have a bit of a thing for you. Be careful, Saku-chan.

As for the space issue, I think I'm going to step back on this first trip. Going with you and a few friends would have been fine, but the number of people on this expedition increases daily, and quite frankly, I am not eager to meet them all.

When you get back, after you've got a taste for space, we'll head out privately. You won't even need the suit.

Do you have one in size "puddle"?

just kidding... any size should be fine.

Do they come with sun glasses or should I hit the local convenience store? smile

Does anyone have a spot I can go to do some training? I would go to the clinic, but I don't want the drugs.... or the constant shadow of someone watching me...

Someone more paranoid than me? Shit, I didn't think it possible. I didn't want to go to the clinic either, you can read some pretty fucked up things online about those places, but there really is no place better to go.

I was bleeding everywhere before I went, now I'm not. Who knows how long it would have taken me to figure shit out on my own, they really know their stuff. You can't live your life believing every conspiracy theory you hear.

SOme poeple know nothign about everything and everything baout nothing.THe drugs are not the best way to train, but the only better way is near impossable to do.

You have to find a nova, who has only simlar powers, but one who get them from the same means.Take flying..I do so threw photon on some level.Meaning that if given enought I think i could go at C..But other novas use jet thust, others gravity, and others still use wind.I could no more teach you how to fly using fire than I could teach you how to read minds.

THese places you go to.Let me think woudl these people do bad things to you.I do nto really think so.THink this way. We have novas who can read you mind, and others who can break fire wall by brute force in their heads.DO you really think that agroup of people could do somethign so bad as nto to get cought by now?

Hmm, I guess it couldn't hurt... much. smile

Where is the best one to go to? Do I just walk up and say "Hi, I'm a nova, train me."?

I wouldn't mind finding out what the extent of my abilites are, but don't you worry that they just have this huge database of nova's and thier weeknesses? What if somone were to break into that database and use the information against us?

Well, off to the mall for me... I guess I better get one more "fitting" before I go...

Dude, according to what I've read you say, you're a big puddle of goo. I don't think your gonna have to tell them that you're a nova.

I only have a few min to post this. I have checked into one of the clinics around here. Not even sure which one it is.

They do seem rather cagy though. And yea... they were handing me paperwork when I walked in the door. Though I am getting tired of them asking me if my head hurts.

Well, got to go, the doc stepped out for a few min to take something down the hall and will be back soon. I don't want them to find me on his laptop.

Jabber when I can. smile

All I have to say, Deeth; is keep calm, guard your mind, and keep your head up... Vile Bill always told me that in my failed run at being an elite. And yes I didn't capitalize taht. I never became a full elite, so I shouldn't talk as if it was a good thing. It'd insult the other Elites 'round here.

Just remember that you are your own Nova. Lose your sense of individuality and you lose yourself. That's what my shrink's telling me. Well, that and stop to smell the roses. That's good advisory too...

Perhaps in two months, we should start this thread up the way it should be again. About life, the universe, and everything...

I have no prob. I can go to the final frontier whenever I want. All I have to do I give one of you guys a little green, and I can enjoy some 0-G. Send me pics! ^.^

Btw, Ronin or Walker, port Vixen over to my place, I do have a stored suit she can use. I also have spare suits for anyone that needs them, if they don't mind pink. The only un-marked one I have is still being fabricated. So, don't use it. The pink one only has a pink chest section and stripes on the cuffs/ankles. Don't worry, they're the most comfortable suits ANYONE makes.

And they're certified by the US, Russian, Japanese, and European space programs. As well as Daedalus. (And that temperature regulator is better shielded and in a more protected area of the backpack.)

Be safe, and hopefully I can hook up on the next away-m,ission.

Safe journey! ^.^
(Btw, if you see any aliens, that goofy candystriper wants me to tell you guys to say Hi!)

Capitol B-Bored. frown
The opnet terminal here dosen't even have Quake 5 on it... Or Everquest 4... All it has is an opnet chess game... frown At least the graphics are 3d rendered... With a starting move guide... I've gotten rusty.

And don't even think there are any good On Demand Video channels here either. Just the generic local affiliates' news feeds... blah. If I hear soybean prices ONE MORE TIME... I'll go nuts... AGAIN.

I'm fine otherwise. *sigh* sorta depressed. A suprise snowstorm blanketed the city. So, the color is whitewashed in frozen rain.

You'd like the view. The Sears Tower is right in view. Probably 10 blocks from here.

Very metropolitan view.

Oh, my local server crashed. You'll have to refer messages to my opnet terminal here. Don't send anything too... private, though.

Walker and Company, are you interested in another voyager? I have no previous space experience, can't fly, and have no reason to believe that I could survive prolonged contact with vastness of space, but I feel this will be one of my best chances to become spaceborne in the near future. I am a medical doctor and my powers revolve around that area, so I won't be a complete fifth wheel.

Endeavor, so they are starving you for civilized contact, eh? Tell you what. I am going to head out and pick up the gear for the latest EverQuest and bring it by for you. From Vile Bill and me to you.
Hell, you know he would have never let a girl go "unsatisfied", though I think my application would have earned me some of the Big Black.
I have made my way to Chicago, so I will be seeing you in a bit, if you don't mind.

Stigmata, thanks for one hell of a time. I will miss Michigan, and you.
