I know it is cliché, and over used, but it is true. For those of with you children, prey that you do not out live them. It is, a horrid feeling, knowing that you out lived your child.

I see it as a horror, that should never happen, but happens all too often. Our children are marks on the future, our note in history. For even if history books write of us in a thousand years, they will miss what makes who we really are. They are here to remember the human side of us. When we are gone, it is our children who will remember that we had human flaws, and virtues. But even more than telling this to the world they tell us.

My son died of an unnatural cancer last week. To those who wish to pay respect to him, may do now. His services were befitting his life, and wants. It was private and it was a lovely ceremony, all things considered.

I'm sorry for your loss.

What was his name & how old was he?

I would love to be able to offer my respects and sympathy to Ms. Malory, but she's really given us nothing to mourn. Initially she didn't even give us a name or any indication of the man on which to focus our emotions. Was he a father? Was he a good man? What were his accomplishments? What was he like? Did he snort when he laughed? Did he enjoy sweets? What were the aspects of him that made him beloved by friends and family? We're asked not to mourn the death of a man valued by many, but to pat her on the head and tell her how sorry we are that she's suffered a loss. She asks not for the honoring of a man taken before his time. If she wished others to note his passing she needed to give us something beyond the nameless, generic label appointed to him.

Meehan, if you do not listen to what is said, you will never learn. Start reading between the lines.

I have told openly on the bored what kind of person my son was, but that was not the pint of this post. Nor was it to gain sympathy from those of your elk. You are someone I could do with out your morning, sorrow or best of wishes. But you weren't here to offer those, you were here to slide in insults, and sling mud. I am here making a statement in broad terms.

Yes, I am in great pain, and I do wish my son was still here. Your sympathy will not bring him back, and maybe your understanding may make you think twice before placing another person in my shoes.

By the way James, I would hope your insurance is good, and all of the bills are kept in order.

You know something? You're just so cute when you try to be all enigmatic and threatening at once like that. To be honest, I'm suprised when you're able to communicate a simple concept like "I'm sad" without sounding like a half-crazed oracle. But now you're trying to threaten me in the same thread that you're trying to garner sympathy. Now that, that is an impressive display of cluelessness.

But yes thank you, my insurance premiums are paid in full and the bills are always well in order.

That your son passed is sad. That he was taken young and he will be unable to enjoy this world is sad. That you are crying crocodile tears is sad and pathetic. My sympathy lies with those that truly loved and cared for him. You, you manipulative little guttersnipe, I could care less about.

Should I quote you own words and mine, Meehan? Or would that shine too much light under your rock? Maybe you just are too human not to fall to human shortcomings? I frankly couldn't care, nor could I care that you take a warning as a threat.
