I would kindly extend an invitation to any and all novas who are willing to engage in a light social gathering on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It will be free of charge and transportation will be provide free of charge From New York, London, Madrid, Calcutta and Tokyo. Depending on resources there will be a pick up in San Diego.

I am to be the hostess. I am trying to develop my PR skills. I am not good at these sort of things. It would be good to show the world another side of me. I tend keep my social activates to a small circle of friends. Wile I value each and every friend I have,I feel the need to extend my circle of friends.

The the ship is Flying by the Dutch flag. This is not an official DeVries function. It will be a gathering that will be aimed at leaving work at the door. This is a day to be yourself and not your cause. I can assure privacy.

I'll admit curiosity, if only because I'm kinda interested in meeting Xeno (and finding out if tOoN is as full-goose down-the-road bozo as he or she seems).

That said, I'll want to bounce it off Long first.

Xeno, you are more than welcome to come to this gathering I would strongly advice not to bring any consumable items with you, for legal and ego reasons. I would take it as a bad sign if my guests felt the need to bring food to a party I was throwing.

TOon, there will be many mind altering chemicals there and if I am lucky Narcotic Dawn, a friend of mine will be there to offer many new and varied mind altering sensations That said, I will not ban any actions that are done by consenting adults as long as there no malicious and would not be a risk to life or limb of the other guests.

Anyone is free to bring a few guests. The Guest will have to go though a few more rules for their safety as some items on the ship could be considered toxic to baseline biology. There will be a drink do to it's chemical mixture will have the effects of I think 2000 proof. You will have to ask Dawn for more details. Perfectly with safe limits of some novas, but highly hazardous to anything remotely akin to baseline life forms.

This is no longer sounding quite so savory. Mind you, you could try to drug me to the gills and it wouldn't have any effect, but I've seen enough of the effect of narcotics and their equivalents on not only baselines but also many novas that I'm not thrilled with attending a party chock-full of them. Thanks, but no thanks.

If you were a baseline attending a baseline gathering would one considered a free bar chock-full of drugs? Novas have needs and those needs are much like baselines but do to our condition we need more extreme methods to archive the same results.

I myself like being cold, but water freezes long before I even start to feel the chilling effects. So I do not take cold baths in water. I do as reasonable person do not invite baselines to join me in such activities. Most novas can drown in in achool before getting drunk. Snort take enough cocaine to kill a whale and not get a buzz. I offer things that will affect novas because I am inviting novas. If you or anyone else finds this offensive or not suited to their tastes, I would rather them not being there.

When I originally read this yesterday I was going to join you. But I am getting the impression that this is less of a PR exercise and more of a kegger. Those kinds of parties just don't appeal to me anymore.

I did not intend to come off a as a kegger,I am simply not used to what most people would consider social interaction. In the past four and half years being a nova I have spent a total of 17, 24 hour periods in witch I was not training, working in the field or spending time in a medical facility. For the majority of said time I honestly could not express or feel any emotions. Prior to that I was in the US armed forces for seven years, again I did not spend much time not working. I am not looking for pity, I am stating facts. I am married to my job, and my job doesn't reward people for being socialable.

I know people. I know how people act. Or rather I know how they react. That is something I have to know. I just am more at home in the middle of a war zone than I am at a party. I wish to change this. I am not wishing to throw a party for people to get wasted, or drunk or whatever. I do wish to let people take any and all stimulants they need to relax, or take the edge off. I know that novas tend to need and want different things to archive said goal. I believe when people are less than sober they are less critical of mistakes .I really wish the people at my party are going to be in a forgiving nature, as right now I have less fear entering a tribal war in the middle of Africa than throwing a party. Now if you can't understand why I would feel this way, I am happy for you. Hell if you can understand how I could be this way but never or only used to feel the same, that's good too. If you are like me, well don't it suck?

I know my past. I know how most people have seen me. I am not the olive branch type .I have killed novas, women and children. I am not the nicest person on earth. I am what I am and I am trying to change, but I would be damned if I said if it was easy. I 30 years old and the last 11 and a half years or so I have been learning more ways to be less humane to my fellow creatures. So I ask all of you to stay calm and let me help me with this, because I honestly have forgotten things I know I need to know.

Now that that is said I will look into the amounts of drugs and toxins. I will not remove them but I will have people making sure that no one gets to intoxicated to control there actions.

I am still free for ideas and or questions. I will do y best answer or compile to either as long as they are reasonable.

You don't win friends by throwing a party and inviting people. Any high school "outsider" could tell you that much. You win friends slowly, by getting to know them in ones and twos. Some of us do so faster than others, some of us only wind up with a close few while others have friends numbering in the hundreds.

If what you are looking for is a lesson in how to socialize -- which is what it sounds like -- hosting a party isn't the best of ideas. A better bet would be to accept invitations, when they occur, to social interactions initiated by others (be it a full-blown party or a "let's hang out and watch a movie" type of event).

I am sorry for delay the party for as long as i have. I had to attend to family matters. That said, I plan say that this will take place next Friday. Not today. It will start at 16:00 Zulu time. That is 4:00PM GTM. Seeing most novas on this site are in the states that is from 9:00 PM on the eastern sea board and 12 AM on the western Sea Board.
