Cries of a future past...
I had the most horrid of revelations. I saw 3 women. One dressed as someone from our time, one dressed in clothes fitting an acnient japanese motif, and one, a monster. A horrid, inhuman monster. The one dressed in modern clothes walked towards me, and asked me, why are you here? The one from the past asked; for what do you stand? The monster asked; Do you have anything worth fighting for? I had no answers...
Then the one from our time laid her hand on my shoulder. She said softly; "You have arrived back at the beginning." and there was a flash of light, and I saw a utopia. Cities of crystalline beauty. as if someone built the entire eastern coast of Japan out of quartz and diamond. Then she spoke once more; "This world you will never have. For this is what could be."
I was without words...
The second, from the past, walked towards me. She stared into my eyes, and said; "You are who you will become". And there was a mist that surrounded me. When it faded, I the events of 8 years ago. I was standing at the wreck of my mother's car. Then I witnessed her eruption. I saw the blood shoot from her nose, her eyes glowing with the very energies of creation. But then as I looked closer, I didn't se my mother, I saw myself. Then my guide from a bygone era spoke again; "You may never achieve her legacy, for you must follow the destiny of the heart."
I was without thought...
Then, the monster walked towards me. She growled in an unearthly howl; "Do you want to see what your victory will bring?!?" She grabbed me with 2 of her four massive arms. Then stabbed me in the chest through the heart with the other two arms, transformed into swords. I screamed as the vision ripped through my mind. I saw... a city burning... bodies everywhere... then in the center of the inferno I saw... a presence that was familiar. She stood in the flames as if she had no fear of the carnage before her. She strode through the burning pyres, as if she was... enjoying her work. Then she came to an injured nova warrior, crouched down, cowed in her injuries.
She stared at her, and said; "You know why you failed? Because you failed to see the light at the end of the tunnel was the train... my daughter..." Then I saw the full features of my mother clear out from the haze and smoke. She turned to me; "You will NEVER escape your destiny, for by my hand, you will realize it..." She exclaimed. Then my perspective shifted, I was that fallen warrior. Then my mother asked; "Do you have anything worth fighting for?"
It was then I awoke from this trance like state... For it was then, I erupted...
I became without time... my die had been cast.
