Dr. Ether: So nice to see you again Totem.

Totem: Yeah.

Dr. Ether: Now last week was mostly just a Q&A so I could get a clear picture of the issues you are facing. How did you feel about last week’s session?

Totem: Fine.

Dr. Ether: You’re not being very talkative today.

Totem: Sorry.

Dr. Ether: It’s okay. I want to start today by asking you a bit about your social life.

(A low growl)

Dr. Ether: What was that?

Totem: Nothing.

Dr. Ether: I realize this might be a touchy subject with you but I really think we should address it don’t you.

Totem: Whatever.

Dr. Ether: I have looked over some of the instances you lost control of your anger. Your fight with Ravana let us start there. Why did he make you so angry?

Totem: Uhm, because he almost tore off one of my wings.

Dr. Ether: Surely someone warned you of the danger of going into a XWF ring didn’t they?

Totem: Yeah.

Dr. Ether: Did you not take it seriously.

Totem: I dunno.

Dr. Ether: It might be a game but people have died you realize.

Totem: I know.

Dr Ether: So you think that the pain and fearing for you life made you lose control?

Totem: Guess so.

Dr Ether: Totem you have to talk to me. I know you don’t like being here but your tribe and you friends are really concerned for you. Don’t you at least want to try and help yourself?

Totem: I guess so Doc.

Dr. Ether: Then tell me what you felt when Ravana hurt you.

Totem: I wanted to do what you saw me do.

Dr. Ether: Was that it though? When the other XWF wrestler entered the ring he stopped you from continuing. What if he hadn’t?

Totem: What do you mean?

Dr. Ether: What if he hadn’t distracted you from your attack on Ravana?

(Silence)

Dr. Ether: Please Totem.

Totem: I was going to kill him.

Dr. Ether: Why did you want to kill him?

Totem: (Slight growl) For fucking almost tearing my god damn wing off!!

Dr Ether: Please Totem calm down there is no need to get hostile.

Totem: Fine. I wanted to kill him because he hurt me. I wanted to stop him before anymore harm could come to myself.

Dr Ether: Is that it? Feels like you are holding back.

Totem: That’s it.

Dr. Ether: Okay. Let’s move on. (Rustling of papers) Let’s move on to the next event I have here. Your encounters with Michaelites. While I am not fond of them myself you and they have had some run ins correct?

Totem: Yeah.

Dr. Ether: How do you feel about them?

Totem: How am I supposed to feel? A group of religious freaks want to kill me because I am some demon that has risen from the pits of hell. So they arm themselves with the best they can find and come gunning for me.

Dr. Ether: You still don’t recall what happened to them?

Totem: (Pause) No.

Dr. Ether: They hurt you far worse than Ravana did. Wouldn’t it make sense that you had wanted to kill them as well?

Totem: Yeah I guess.

Dr. Ether: Did you kill them?

Totem: No they blew themselves up along with me.

Dr. Ether: I know the reports where sealed on this but I took the liberty of looking through the autopsy reports. While the coroner himself put the causes of death due to blunt force trauma from explosion. I had a friend of mine from the Les Vegas coroner’s office look at some of the photos and he told me that while several had been burned there was evidence that they had died from other causes. Several had died from massive hemorrhaging due to deep cuts. Some body parts where never found.

(Silence)

Dr. Ether: All this is confidential Totem it doesn’t leave this room. Do you think it is possible you killed these men before the explosion?

Totem: It’s possible. I said I don’t remember.

Dr. Ether: Do you think it’s possible that you consumed these missing body parts?

(Growling)

Dr. Ether: (voice changes due to going to his gaseous state) Please calm down Totem. I am just trying to explore your issues. What the Michaelites did was inexcusable and any court would find you not guilty for reasons of self defense. I am sure any number of us would have defended ourselves to the best of our abilities. Let’s take a five minute break then continue.

Dr. Ether: Okay, let’s move on. I saw the recording of your Pow wow ceremony. Very impressive I have to say.

Totem: Thank you.

Dr Ether: You’re very welcome. Having a creative outlet such as performance is a great way to focus your energies away from anger and hostility.

Totem: Yeah I guess. Maybe I should do it more. I am into carving a lot too.

Dr. Ether: Really? I didn’t know! Why haven’t you showed off your work?

Totem: I don’t do it for people to look at. I just go into the badlands and find a rock. Then I carve at it until it looks like it should.

Dr. Ether: Looks like it should?

Totem: Yeah. It tells me when it is done. I heard someone once say in sculpting that the form was already in the rock you just had to bring it out. I guess I do something like that too.

Dr. Ether: Fascinating I had no idea. From what I have seen about your posts on the Opnet all you did was burrow?

Totem: I do that too.

Dr. Ether: Why do you burrow?

Totem: Digging holes feels good to me. I feel safe in them.

Dr. Ether: Totem you can take a hit from a tank. Why do you feel safe in a hole?

Totem: Dunno maybe cuz no one is around. I like the dark.

Dr. Ether: I can understand why you would enjoy some solitude but why do you enjoy the dark?

(Totem shrugs)

Dr. Ether: Could it be the rumors of a relationship with the Terat called Apep?

Totem: (giving the doctor a glare)

Dr. Ether: We’ll get back to that. Let’s talk about what happened on July 4th.
Some witnesses say you abducted a Nova by the name of Juri McClendon. From what little is known about what happened. Several Novas intervened including Team Tomorrow member Codex. Codex? (Flipping of paper) She was also involved in stopping you during the Ravana match.

Totem: Yes

Dr. Ether: Very helpful of her. This time she seems to have paid for it. Witnesses say she was transformed by something that happened.

Totem: I dunno I wasn’t there when it happened.

Dr. Ether: She was knocked unconscious for several days not to mention she has wings and a major personality shift. She is a known telepath and many theorize that something happened when she went into your mind. Can you talk about it?

Totem: She tried to help me cope. She paid for it. What more is there to say?

Dr. Ether: You tried to hurt her?

Totem: I would never try to hurt her. She is a good friend.

Dr Ether: You said she paid a price though. She and the others apparently stopped you from harming Ms. McClendon as you where both seen together the next morning.

Totem: Codex was trying to do what you are doing now. Except she did it in a different way. She went into my mind to try and stop my rage and she paid for it.

Dr Ether: Are you implying I too will pay for it? You didn’t want to harm her do you want to harm me?

Totem: Not really.

Dr Ether: (Clearing his throat) Okay let’s touch back upon Ms. McClendon. As I have read on the Opnet she seems to have feelings for you. How did this come about?

Totem: Not really sure. We didn’t start hitting it off perfectly.

Dr Ether: Yet she came to meet you.

Totem: Yeah.

Dr Ether: I did a little reading up on her. She seems to be in a little legal trouble of her own. Do you find the strange?

Totem: Why would I?

Dr. Ether: Two women you seem romantically involved with. One being a Teragen terrorist and the other a pyromaniac.

Totem: (Grumbling) I don’t see what this has to do with my anger.

Dr Ether: I think it’s very relevant. It appears you have an attraction for how do we say “Bad girls” while on the other hand you have good outstanding friends in Ms. Hino and Codex who try and help you. Yet you have no feelings for them?

Totem: They are my friends and both taken I might add.

Dr. Ether: What about sex?

Totem: What about it?

Dr Ether: Have you had sex with either Apep or Juri?

(Ruffling of feathers)

Dr. Ether: Are you still a virgin?

Totem: No.

Dr. Ether: Have you had sex since you became a Nova?

Totem: No.

Dr. Ether: Must be very frustrating for you. Obviously your size and physical appearance has to be troublesome. I would wonder if you could even be intimate with someone. Do you honestly think that either of the girls you seem to be involved with are interested in consummating with you?

(Crashing noise)

Dr Ether: Please calm down Totem. You know you can’t harm me while I am in this state. Now look a lot of these issues you are having could be a result of sexual frustration. I think we should consider options here. Perhaps drug therapy and castration.

Totem: (Growling and snarls) What the fuck are you talking about!?

Dr Ether: It only makes sense. You cannot possibly breed and obviously these hormones are affecting your mental state. Please put my desk down.

(Loud crash with glass shattering)

Totem: (growling constantly) I am not going to be neutered like some god damn dog!

Dr. Ether: It was just something I feel you should consider. Please settle down.

Totem: That isn’t an option.

Dr. Ether: I don’t think you should dismiss the idea but for now consider it dropped. Do your feathers change color every time you get angry?

Totem: Most of the time.

Dr Ether: Let’s go back to Apep for a moment. Why are you interested in her? Everyone knows she is promiscuous and has a taste for the more tainted and deformed among us.

Totem: Fuck you. You have no idea what she wants or who she wants. So I am deformed huh?

Dr Ether: Maybe that is harsh but you are not normal.

Totem: From the clown made of gas that’s a funny statement.

Dr Ether: Regardless you do have a problem fitting in. Most likely this is the reason both her and Ms McClendon are interested in you. What are you doing?! You already know you cannot harm me. Wait stop!

(Rush of wind)

Dr Ether: That was cute. You wasted the remainder of our time.

Totem: That was the point.

Dr Ether: Don’t think we are done. I will see you next week.

Totem: Fine, smoke you again then Doc.
