Hmm, that's right, she's planning on that civil service thing. Interesting choice on her part, especially considering her abilities and knowledge. I lean closer to her while sitting in the chair in that playful way, "You'll be fine... it's not like kaiju movies are real, eh?... but you do get Christmas off, right?"

Her shoulders shrug and she smiles before taking another bite, "Of course."

I rest back in the chair and let my eyebrows perk up a bit, "I've never seen Japan around that time of year... how about a quiet Christmas?" A playful smile slowly exposes my teeth, "I could even make sure we have a place on dry land... privacy, furnishings, and all."

"Oh, I'll have a spot on dry land. I am looking at a place in the Jinbocho ward for a home. It's a cozy little former office building. Should be nice to not feel the sway of the ocean during rough weather, no?"

Sakurako snaps with realiztion.

"Oh, and yes, I should be open."

She giggles again, almost snorting milk through her nose.

Heh, of course she has a place, she always plans ahead. I grin along with her giggle, sharing that infectious joy in her, and I hand her a napkin just in case, "Well, don't work too hard; a day off is no fun if you can't enjoy it, right?" I know she works hard sometimes, she's definitely the type that start into a project and disappear for a week or two until it's done... sometimes we all need some help pacing, maybe it's something I should look into for later.

"But," I continue, "If you want to be somewhere different for a holiday, at least a different building, you let me know... after all, we should have our vacation together away from both our occupations, right?"

"That... would be something to think about."

She starts to enjoy the rest of her meal, looking foreward to her holiday.

"You know, this is starting to shape out to be a good end to the year. Don't you think?"
