It was foggy but that wasn't a bad thing. The young man moved through the damp forest trail marveling at everything he examined.
The flowering creeper vines of morning glory seemed more alive than ever before. The bark of the trees seemed more detailed, textured and alive than he had ever seen them.
These where the simple realities of his new life and Kevin marveled in them. He was pleased that his eruption worked as he had hoped. All the years of training and meditation paid off fully.
He was proud that he had none of the more extraordinary powers that some Novas received. He didn't need to start off flying or shooting blasts of fire or anything else. He was simply heightened and it felt correct in every way.
A morning jogger passed him and he smiled cheerily at them. The act of a simple smile nearly stopped the man cold in his tracks. He stumbled and continued past, staring at the young man as he went.
Kevin nodded and walked on ward. No doubt this is just one of the things he would need to get used to. Having enough of the outdoors for now Symmetry decided to head home. He pondered on how he would try to do so. Running the idea of sprinting home without being winded was appealing but he had already fallen in love with jumping. It was not just the simple act of bounding that did it. But the planning it took to know where you where going. The use or coordination to aim the projectile you became and the strength to apply just the right tension on touchdown so you landed as softly as a feather.
With those thoughts he applied them to action. He gathered the Qi around him and sprung from the forest, sailing back to his home a kilometer away. He twisted and turned as he flew reveling in his new found state of enlightenment. He felt gravity call to him at his zenith and he succumbed willingly to her embrace. Touching down like he had only taken a step, he walked across his wooden deck and opened the sliding glass door and retreated within.
Yes he thought it was good to be a Nova.
