My apologies go out to everyone who had to wait for this last batch. I don't have any excuse except those of a real life nature, some of which were exceptionally important or pressing (dealing with hurricanes at work, illness, start of tennis lessons and play again now that my injured foot seems well enough to resume) and others that were not (reading the final DARK TOWER volume....).

Speaking of my foot, when I produced the initial batch of these, I was at home on short-term disability from work and had more time than I knew what to do with, so I could get an avatar done within minutes of being asked. While they don't take that long, I don't have as much free time as I used to, so it's been taking me longer to get them all done.

With that in mind, going forward, I am committing myself to a schedule for this. I will be posting avatars every two weeks. This way, when you're wondering what the status is, you'll know when it's getting posted.

Feel free to send me PM's with descriptions of character. Things to keep in mind when you do: a) hair color, length, and style if necessary, b) eye color, c) skin color, e) any aberrations or power displays, and f) the more detailed the better.

Next batch of avatars (if any are requested) will be posted on October 20th.

The schedule for the rest of the year is this:

10/20, 11/03, 11/17, 12/1, 12/15, 12/29

Thanks, and again, sorry for the long wait on this last batch.

I wanted to let everyone know that I'll add the avatars to their profile as soon as I get a chance, and will continue to do so with every new batch that Ashnod adds.

Long has been added.

Next posting is 12/29/04.

OH! And for the curious, it is Ashnod the PLAYER who does these avatars. Ashnod the Terat goddess laughs at your petty requests for cartoonish icons and points a derisive finger naughtily in your general direction!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :p

Are you wowing at my comment or Long's avatar? If it's the avatar, don't be too excited as my talent is not that great. It's just a tiger pic found for me a while back by Totem, and I played around with the eyes a bit.

Hey, this might be a little late for 12/29, but I thought I'd give it a try:

Since ol' Sam here doesn't have a Public Faces entry yet, I'll try to give you enough to work with while I can, Ashnod. And I appreciate whatever you can do.

Starting with the basics, Sam has pitch black hair and ice blue eyes. He has no aberrations (or at least visual ones) and has a light skin tone. His expression tends to be grim (like Jager's) and he has a sharp chin (like Archon's, Ashnod's, etc).

Moving to the potentially difficult area: he has a perpetual cigarette in his mouth and wears a charcoal colored fedora with a black band.

Hopefully that's enough.

12/29/04 Avatars are up: Sam Grey (minus the fedora, sorry), Potentia, Iron Rose, and the new, bald, Typhoon.

I'll post the upcoming schedule for the first few months of 05 in the next week or so.

I will not be making avatars in 2005. Apologies to everyone, but from here on out someone will have to step and take the duty over, or make your own.

Though there are many templates similar to this one out there, the one I use can be found here .

Simply screen print it when you're done, paste it into Paint or another graphics program, modify it as you need to, save it, and let Chosen know you have an avatar.

If someone else wants to take over the responsibility of doing it, feel free to continue this thread for posting purposes.

I, however, am done.

Thanks.

Yeah...well...

After working out some things offline and putting my time committment into perspective, I'm retracting my prior retraction.

If you want me to make you one, I'll continue doing it. Obviously, if you want to make your own by all means I encourage you to do so. If you want an "authentic Ashnod-made" one (as in, someone told me "it's just not the same unless it's an authentic, Ashnod-made one"), go ahead and let me know and I'll keep making them.

*mumbles something about having egg on her face as she walks off stage*

Will post 01/12, 01/26, 02/09, 02/23. 03/09, 03/23

Ashnod,

Would you be willing to do an avatar for Timeslip? It's a dirt-simple image: outline of a female human head filled with a starscape; no visible facial features.

Timeslip,

Sure, no problem. Does she have hair? If so, how long? Is it also part of the starfield effect?

Sorry about the delay. She does indeed have hair; figure shoulder-length. It is part of the starfield effect as well.

May I have one for Slattern?

One of two possibilities:

1. Very sultry brunette, with pouty lips, tan skin, long, loose hair and likely sunglasses.

2. Whatever you find most attractive since that's how she'd appear to you. laugh

Weeee bit late tonight, but only if you're not measuring on Pacific Time. If you're measuring there, I still had 30 minutes. I blame it on getting an overseas phone call early in the morning that kept me from getting a proper night's sleep, thus sleeping much later than I intended, thus forcing me to get this set up when I returned home from work.

Yeah, that's how I see it. smile

Anyway, Timeslip, Gerald Haney, Proteus, and Slattern are all up now.
