I also have a 2k size limit for images, which does make getting them to look ok rather difficult. The one thing I can say is to make sure that all of yoru pixels actually mean something. The gif transparency option doesn't allow for partially opaque pixels, so you need to make sure that there is some value to everything you want I can't really give you any quick tips on what to do to get it to work easily. I just wish that the flash avatar program worked a litle differently so that it was easier to get images out of it.

(and I really hesitate to say this) but I think I prefer the old one to this. Your version, while animated, and while definitely appreciated, is inaccurate. Flicker is never partly visible like that. She's either there, or not there. And yeah, my animated avatar is seizure-inducing. On those grounds alone, it's best not to use it. Usually you have you "Print Screen" then paste the screen shot into PAINT or PHOTOSHOP (or any graphics program).
