Emily, I'm not 100% sure on how well the butterfly will look when it is shrunk and put with transparency. I'll do it and let you be the judge though.

Resized and transparented it myself (hard bloody work in some bits, reminded me of drawing sprites, pixel by pixel colouring...) But how do you get that anti-aliased effect of some of the other avatars... in 70x70 gifs?

The latest batch of images are up.
Getting the 70x70 images to AA isn't easy. I also have a 2k size limit for images, which does make getting them to look ok rather difficult. The one thing I can say is to make sure that all of yoru pixels actually mean something. The gif transparency option doesn't allow for partially opaque pixels, so you need to make sure that there is some value to everything you want I can't really give you any quick tips on what to do to get it to work easily. I just wish that the flash avatar program worked a litle differently so that it was easier to get images out of it.

I'm sorry but the actual flickering one makes me feel like I'm going to have a seizure every time I look at it. I did something else with it that didn't hurt my eyes as much. Let me know if you'd prefer that or your previous one.

but I think I prefer the old one to this. Your version, while animated, and while definitely appreciated, is inaccurate. Flicker is never partly visible like that. She's either there, or not there.

And yeah, my animated avatar is seizure-inducing. On those grounds alone, it's best not to use it.

I don't know if the e-mail link has ever worked, Tekk. Usually you have you "Print Screen" then paste the screen shot into PAINT or PHOTOSHOP (or any graphics program). Crop it and resize it, then save it.
