Name: Fury
Real Name: Malu Hekili
Allegiance: Independent (suspected Teragen-sympathizer)
Gender: Female
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 133 lbs

Appearance: Malu is a Hawaiian woman in her early 20’s. She has long black hair the color of starless sky, and rich brown eyes the shade of moist garden soil. Her body is surrounded by a soft blue aura that is visible even in full daylight. She is beautiful in the way few Novas are, to the degree that merely glancing on her is almost painful to baseline eyes. She didn’t erupt that way; during her time with Team Tomorrow she was considered only moderately attractive. Reports from her followers gave rise to the rumors that she had changed, becoming something more divine, and the one or two media agents she has allowed onto her property have confirmed this. They also confirmed another rumor: whenever Malu places a foot upon the earth, plant life blossoms and emerges from the soil where she stands. Similarly, when her foot is removed from that area, what grew there by her footstep quickly recedes and dies.

She dresses in traditional Hawaiian garments, and goes barefoot frequently.

Powers: Malu commands forms of nature and weather. Animal life obeys her and plant life will grow and flourish at her beckoning. She also manipulates weather on a scale similar or greater to former teammate Splash. Word from her followers, if it can be trusted, states that she has demonstrated varying degrees of ability in controlling the four elements (fire, water, air, earth).

Known Facts: Malu Hekili was born in September of 1986 to a wealthy Hawaiian family. She had her pilot’s license before she graduated high school, and after graduation started her own airborne tourism operation with the assistance of her family. Her business was successful enough to sustain itself but never grew beyond a single plane’s schedule of flights. She erupted in 2006 when mechanical failure affected her plane while she had a family onboard, and manifested wind-controlling abilities strong enough to bring the plane back to earth safely. A Project Utopia intervention team contacted her soon after.

Malu completed T2M training and worked with the Americas team until 2008. During her time with Team Tomorrow, she was known to have a bit of animosity towards fellow teammate Pele, who shared the same animosity towards her. She is known for being one of the agents involved in the eruption intervention of Kathleen ‘Fracture’ Miller, a Nova that Malu helped bring into the New York Rashoud Facility and whom joined the Teragen almost immediately upon leaving. Malu left Team Tomorrow herself, along with fellow teammates Lucious Clay and Savannah “Aurifex” O’Shea, soon after over what she felt were misrepresentations by Project Utopia’s Public Relations Department to the media regarding the handling of Kathleen Miller during her stay in New York. If she had anything else negative to say about Utopia, she’s never mentioned it publicly, not even during the scandal left in the wake of teammate Jennifer Landers’ murder a few months later.

Fury returned to Hawaii to discover she had a following of native Hawaiians wishing to recognize her as the deity of the islands. She’s made no claim herself, but has allowed many of these people to reside on her property. This concerns both the State and Federal governments greatly, both of whom pledge they will not allow a full-blown India Syndrome to occur on United States soil. Since 2008, the number of people residing on her grounds has fluxuated, but she, even if against her wishes, retains a core group of loyal Hawaiians who still believe she will one day lead Hawaii to separate from the United States. As a result, her family has publicly denounced her refusal to force these “followers” off her land.

Otherwise, she appears content to live a private life secluded away from the prying eyes of a nova-fanatical public, but is occasionally seen wind-riding the skies above Hawaii.
