Name: Salamander
Real Name: Juri McClendon
Allegiance: None yet
Gender: Female
Height: 1.55 Meters
Weight: 45.8 Kilograms

Appearance: Juri is of Japanese-American descent. She stands roughly five feet one inch tall, and has unremarkable musculature. Her skin leans more towards Caucasian, but her eyes are definitely Japanese.

She's unearthly beautiful in a decidedly Japanese fashion, but also in a decidedly American fashion, as though both aspects of her lineage are fighting for supremacy in a contest. This is where part of the uneasiness of this beauty stems...an observer's mind tries hard to put her into the category of either Asian or Caucasian and cannot do it. The mind wants to, it struggles to, but can't do it. And it makes baselines (and Novas susceptible to that kind of flaw) feel awkward around her. Her anima is constantly visible, and with it she is bathed constantly in a glow of flickering flames that blur the air around her like heat would, but doesn't actually create tangible heat.

Powers: Recently, she was witnessed using fire as a medium for transportation, appearing out of a large bonfire as a being of flame and becoming flesh. Assumedly, she is also resistant to injury from fire or heat as she remained within the bonfire unharmed after becoming solid. She was also seen surrounding her body in immense quantities of flame and controlling it like appendages.

Known Facts: Born on December 30th of 1995 while her father was stationed at Iwakuni Marine Air Corps Station on Honshu island in Japan, Juri McClendon (aka Pyre, aka Salamander) would erupt on April 20th, 2014, in a fire that consumed her old rental home. She is the only daughter of an ex-marine and his Japanese wife, both of whom still live in New York City. She refused offers from Project Utopia for assistance during the first week of her post-erupted life. Currently a student on scholarship to the University of Alabama Huntsville as a psychology major.
