Powers: Coma possesses either paranormal intelligence (even for novas!), the ability to see the future or both if the accuracy of his blogs is any indication. Real time interviews suggest a certain amount of charm and keen wit. Aside from that, so little is known about Coma, that many have speculated he doesn't even exist and instead his Blog is a forum of several well known "mega" intelligent novas, wishing to give guidance to those with anonymity.

Background: If N!'s researches are to be believed, Coma is one of the original novas following the Galatea Explosion. Instead of his eruption bringing him to fame and glory as so many of his compatriots of the time, his mind was unable to cope with the changes the eruption brought. His name, Robert Johnson. A successful stock analyst for Merrill Lynch, Johnson suffered this catastrophe the eve of a big presentation. Rushed to the hospital for a seizure, Johnson quickly entered a coma. He was only classified a nova when weeks later his eyes were replaced with smoking craters.

Seven years later, Johnson awoke, claiming to know nothing of himself. The media flocked to him before he could exit the hospital. When confronted and asked what he saw, his only response was "the future." Several weeks later, Coma appeared, operating only out of the OpNet and quickly establishing itself as a must read site. So far he is 13 for 14 with his major predictions, his analysis so detailed that most credit him with honest to god future seeing.

Much of the speculation however rests with his one prediction that proved false. Many claim this prediction proves he's a fake, merely a hyper intelligent guesser. Proponents swear that he got some of the facts right and you can't expect even the future to always be clear. A few have proposed that he already had many millions of readers, perhaps his intention was to not predict but change....

Whatever the case, Coma is sure to be a mysterious figure for some time to come.
