Description: All reports of Blur have been of a figure that appears to be out of focus and lacking any distinguishing features. This blurring quality appears both with the naked eye and in images and video taken of him. Despite this blurring, Blur is assumed to be male due to the lower register of his voice. Also, he does seem to be wearing mundane, albeit blurred, clothing as well as having at least tanned skin and dark hair. It's clear that Blur is an adult but no other evidence of his age have been found. (When not blurred, Ben appears to be an athletic and clean-shaven man in his early twenties with brown skin, dark eyes, and short, dark brown hair. At home, he can be found wearing a t-shirt and jeans or long shorts. During the work day, he typically follows a business casual dress code with simple khakis or dark slacks with a variety of polo or golf shirts. Family members and close friends normally describe Ben as someone who's always ready to smile with a spark of energy. However, prolonged fatigue and an unseen burden weigh visibly and heavily on his shoulders before always reverting back to his energetic demeanor on the rare occasion his friends and family has come upon him without warning.)

Powers: Aside the ability to mask his appearance, Blur has been seen exhibiting a number of powers assumed to be related to the manipulation of space and time. Eye witness accounts include reports of him moving at incredible speeds, appearing in secured locations either through great speed or actual teleportation, generation of protective energy barriers, unassisted flight, slowing or completely immobilizing both people and objects, surviving in a wide variety of hostile environments, and psychokinesis or gravatic manipulations. What can be gleamed from the variety of records and reports is that Blur's abilities grew and expanded over time.

Known Facts: There is no official record of Blur's eruption, however there have been several verified and unverified accounts of an unknown nova exhibiting his trademark blurring obfuscation ranging over almost the entire nova age. The first consistent reports of an unknown and blurred nova appear around 2000 along the western seaboard of the United States. His appearances followed a pattern of responding to natural disasters, violent crimes, and accidents. As the first decade of the 21st Century unfolded, reports of unknown novas fitting his description spread across the entire North American continent. By 2010 the range of Blur's apparent appearances was international but his apparent avoidance of the media, save lucky photos and video clips. In most instances, his motivations appear to limited to diffusing or resolving dangerous situations and he departs once all of the parties are safe or immobilized.

To date, the media has yet to interview or speak to Blur, let alone even confirm his existence as a single nova instead of inaccurate and hysterical reports of known novas. Whether this is a product of the media and the general public focusing on novas who are more than willing to be in the public light or of Blur's preference for privacy has yet to be determined.
