As I see it we have the following options:
1) Flee to KBec (Warp Gate)
2) Hide in the basement and ride out the storm.
3) Hunt down that lightning ball.
4) Try to set up the lightning cage.

Raider is the only one I can see trying #3.
#1 IMHO trumps #2.
#4 is probably not viable considering how Courier got his ass kicked just now.

So basically I'm leaning strongly towards 1, with a possible wait for Raider to play tag with the ball.

As for what to do I'm thinking someone has given up their corporeal existence and is now a part of the storm, kind of the way someone can sacrifice their own body permanently/temporarily when they use Domination with the exrta Possession. I think someone has taken Possession of the storm given the way it lessened in intensity when the lightning ball invaded the shop.

Anyone have any powers that might be able to deal with someone in that situation?

Courizon Wireless can't connect to Johnny, even assuming Courier want to get within touch range he'd have no Quantum to spend to attune him. Further the anti-quantum field prevents any quantum based power from functioning within it (including some mega-stats).

I think we need to get beyond the abby city, then two of us will scout out a place. I suggest those two be Courier and Raider. We find a spot in the city, then we use the link to contact Adam and warp everyone there.

Adam is not present (Gregory will need to update his post) likely he is hunkered down elsewhere in the city or possibly trying to stand watch at the Wall. Either way you'll need to test the link to see if he responds ...

yeah, I was kinda waiting for you to actually try and contact adam. Since he's not aware of your situation, and is now a NPC, I'm intending to Role Play him. I'll post regardless to keep things moving, sorry for the weekend slowdown

For a hideout we are going to be looking preferably underground, for someplace that will survive a storm and is uninhabited. Old abandoned subway station, a deep subbasement from one of those skyscrapers, that sort of thing. We're going to try and rely more on stealth than defensibility, but we do still want a safe place. Raider will use analyze weakness on any place they find to try and minimize it's faults and find the best possible place.

Not sure if this plan would work without her since the storm is following both her and Calypso as far as I understand it, so that means they both need to be with us.

If the storm is following us it should work. If it is not following us then it won't, but then that will also answer questions about what is going on and the nature of the storm. Courier will keep in touch with Adam and if the storm doesn't begin to move in a few hours we'll reevaluate.

we shall see ... in the meantime I'll let you folks get back to deciding who is doing what and where ...

... Sssooo ... I'm unclear what we're waiting for. Last posts suggested that everybody was listening to Gregory explain his story and that you all were trying to decide what to do next.

Unless courier objects I will take Gregory and check out his discoveries, then come back for Courier and take him to the best of the locations, then he can call in Adam for a warp.

I was waiting for a post from Courier or Fox making a decision about Gregory. I was prepared to make a brief post in response...ie, Gregory showing Raider where the tunnels are.

Not sure what to do at this point. Calypso kind of out of her element, so to speak.

Assuming people are good with the tunnel idea the obvious way to proceed is for Raider and Doug to do the flying desolid thing while Gregory directs them via mind link to the tunnels. Once there Adam will have a location he could warp everyone too.

Or Gregory and Raider going off works too.

OK umm so table talk indicates it was going to be Raider and [somebody] but in game posts indicate that it was Gregory and Courier. I'm going to go ahead and post with the assumption that the in game text is correct and move ahead with Raider staying behind with the girls (you go Raider!! *wink wink nudge nudge*).

Lily, I think that EA Water would allow for both Ice and Steam to be manipulated, especially given that EM has a "Phase Change" technique ...

I was thinking it would be Raider and one of the others since only Raider can get others in completely undetected by ghosting through the ground. Only way to detect them would be via phychic means and how many psychics are going to be focusing on what goes on under their feet?

Plus Raider has analyze weakness and mega-int to decide which is the best hiding place and whether it is likely to get detected.

I couldn't remember who it was who had the DD. I origonally had Raider in my post, but thought I had errored, and edited it to Courier. Now I fear I mucked the whole thing up.

If you do notice, my post does mention popping to the surface for air, which implies DD.

Whatever the ST deems appropriate in this instance, I will abide by his decision, but the origonal plan was to ghost in undetected and go underground.
