History:
Joe Bernolli was born to a working class family living in NYC's Little Italy. His father, a trash collector, worked daily to instill a hard sense of discipline in little Joe. His mother, a seamstress, liked to pamper Joe. His grades in school were good, but not spectacular, but out of school, Joe found himself getting in trouble. After being caught shoplifting, his father decided that he had had enough and gave Joe an ultimatum. He could start going to the gym and learning boxing, or he could go to military school, both of which would, in his father's opinion, lead to more focus and discipline. Joe, fearing the new start that going to military school would entail, chose to take up boxing. Through the years, Joe became very good at boxing, even placing second in a couple of junior championships. After High School, he did some research into the areas found interesting, and found that the best way to use his skill was by joining the Army. He decided to enlist, but not before he had a large fight with his father about it. That fight resulted in a broken nose for Joe and a concussion for his father. For years afterward, Joe and his father didn't speak once. At the ceremony marking the end of Basic Training, his mother cheered for him without his father present. The end to this feud came suddenly with the suicide of his mother. His father became closer to Joe than ever before, but in the end the gap was too great to bridge. Joe and his father maintain a semi-amicable silent respect for one another. After finishing Basic Training, Joseph was selected for Special Forces training. His ability to command the respect of his peers at this level pushed Joe up the chain of command until he reached his final rank, that of Staff Sergeant. His mission at the time of his eruption is classified, but is rumored to have involved the drug cartels. After that mission, Joe was given his pick of assignments within the Army, but decided it was time to take the civilian route. He has had occasion to regret his decision since, but only rarely. His stay at the NYC Rashoud Facility was like a spa visit to him. He found it refreshing to be back in an environment where he could pit himself against a worthy opponent - Joseph Bernolli. Recently, he has been learning about the various "Elite" agencies around the world to find one that suits his particular talents.
