I honestly do not think my eruption was painful. The act leading up to it were rather painful. I was either really lucky or unlucky depending on who you ask. I think I was lucky.

A few weeks ago, I was walking to a friend's house when I was grabed by Nilolator(Yea who comes up with names like that.I don't know.) He did a few things I do not wish tot talk about in this forum, but one thing he did was shape how I erupted. Not as in he made me do it, as in I do not think I would have erupted this way if it wasn't for him. Nilolator drips acid from his skin, and well human skin does not well to such things. It hurt like nothing I have ever felt before.

Now I do not know if I lived because of my eruption or because of what Carlos did.He was on his way to a meeting when he notice the sound of my screaming, at leas that is what he tells me.I do not really have firm grasp of what happened. He used his ability to heal wounds on me. He tells me it did not go well, that somehow it went wrong and I became acid. I only recall the faintest bits of it. Now I was in pain long after that, but I do not fully understand why.

Who knows? Last thing I remember about my eruption I was being attacked by a pack of wolves in the old growth forest. Next thing I know, its morning, I got a headache the size of San Diego and my camping place is filled with Wolf meat.

Lets put mine under uncertain.

Yea, but do you think you are lucky or not? I would think you would say yes, but then agian if you wer lucky then you wouldn't have been attacked by wolves, either. Right?

I guess, but then again I turned into a very unlucky person after my eruption, so I don't hold the bar really high. Lets just say I wish I had not erupted.

Lucky I think. Personally I don't remember my eruption, the general idea from the Utopian doctors after the fact was I probably stroked out (whatever that means, something to do with brain damage).

Nasty headache after the fact but the drugs helped a lot.

This is always an interesting subject. A lot of people think that anyone who erupts is going to be super-grateful and spend a month celebrating before going on to sign a million-dollar contract for using his powers once or twice on TV or something. If that view is even generally true, we live in a nicer world than it seems a lot of the time.

I'm going to classify my eruption as "uncertain". Sure, it gave me something really big, but also took away something just as important, although that last one was partly due to much stupidity on my part, I must admit. Nevertheless, I may have been happier right now if I hadn't erupted, but I won't mourn the event, either. Being a nova changes people, and I'm a different person now, let's hope a better one, and it's a bit pointless to regret having changed, especially when it wasn't your choice.

Just my twopence, heh.

I don't talk about my eruption. I just don't. It was bad. And I'm saying this so that people don't ask later. It seems to be baselines' favorite question: "What was your eruption like?" What do you think it was like? I was taking a warm bath and my brain exploded?

Anyone else getting uncomfortable questions? Beside the eruption question, I hate getting, "Do you feel different now?" I always want to say, "No, nothing changed, really."

"So When you turn into a giant robot are you completely robotic or is it just the ouside?" "Is there an empty space in your chest like a cockpit or something?"

Those are two of the regular ones I get asked beyond "What was my eruption like?" and "Do you feel any different now?"

I’ve asked scientist types about it and I always get a twenty minute lecture on some dead scientist… Enstein?... and how something changes at the speed of light. So there is an answer, but I don’t know it.

Sounds like you felt comfortable with who you were. That’s a good thing, and rare for us I gather.

Heh, I get "Can you undo that girl's shirt from here" alot but mostly from my friends.

I also get shit like "How strong are you really" and "What's the heaviest thing you've lifted."

One of my personal favorites is "Will you marry me?"

All my other personal favorites involve requsests for sexual encounters. So the questions aren't all bad.

Most of the requests I get for sex are rather disurbing.Well it seems I get a few of them. They seem to want me to change my form into rather odd things. Then again nearly all requests of that sort of nature are also illegal as far as I know.

I think I will start another topic about sex one of these days.

Most people I'm with on a day-to-day basis don't know I'm a nova, I'm keeping a bit of a low profile, so I don't get asked all the odd and uncomfortable questions (well, nova-related that is, I get quite a few unrelated ones quite often). Back when and where I erupted it was all people wanting me to show off my powers. I kinda liked the popularity at the time, but I dare say it would've gotten rather bothersome in the long run. Old friends are especially a pain.

You know... if you do have a hollow space in your chest, you could have some very interesting options available to you. wink

You have to be comfortable to a degree in my business, or you start to numb yourself to get comfortable. And that's sad. Not everyone should be in porn. I'm just lucky that I enjoy it. smile

I erupted after a long period of depression brought about by an eight-year drought and a fire in the grain storage. My head hurt quite a bit, but I didn't really notice it in the elation of filling every dam in Roma.

Both I guess.

I've got an amusing story about "consequences" of my eruption. I erupted, and the first clue that anyone had that something had changed was the toilet in the room above me backed up. No one could get into my room to figure out what was going on.

Eventually people figured out *something* was and T2M was called in… basically to fix a stuck toilet.

Oh dear, I always feel a bit inadequate when people trade "eruption stories". I erupted in quite the undramatic way. I wouldn't have died if I didn't, certainly. "Emotional Stress-Related Eruption", the medics said. But it still doesn't make for any story worth telling.

Mine was a head ache and a trip to the Hospital. A few tests, and a few nurses phone numbers later I was a nova. Nothing fancy, just plain ol' time. Took a few weeks of rest and medication to keep my node in check.

That's it. Voila, no fireworks, no zazz... just my time I guess.

I wish I could remember my eruption but as it happens I have been both blessed and cursed with a clean slate.

I have been told however that considering how I was found it was more than likely quite painful.

Outside of managable headaches, my eruption itself was uneventful. Although it was... not pleasant what I saw when I woke up.

I will spare the details.

Well I'll say this much about it, I had a killer headache when the adrenaline wore off, and I don't think I'll ever forget the sounds of the first time I "meched" out.

How do you know you're not a vegetable? Maybe it did hit you in the head and this is all a fantasy played out in your neurons as they scrub the dregs of oxygen from your becalmed bloodstream.

Does this continue to disturb you anew every morning? Was it necessary to remove the mirrors from your bedroom, or do you just sleep wearing a blindfold?

I turned into a prism? No, something else. Pictures in little pieces, all ripply and coloured with light coming through. I make them sometimes, like puzzles. They used to be bigger pieces, and they made the right shapes, but they're all jumbled now and put back together in different places so the light comes through in not-right patterns. They're really pretty sometimes, but the breaking part hurt a lot.

I do things that would be imprudent to broadcast to the entire world.

Things that will save the world, so that people like you can go on sucking down cheesburgers and oxygen and congratulating yourselves about how wonderful you are for a long, long time.
