Round 3:

Isabel emerges last from the warp, and immediately reaches out to her element and shapes it around first one gunman's head, then the second. They appear to be somewhat distracted by this and are at definite difficulties in aiming at the team.

Marcus focus his attention and his lightning on the second of the two big guys who seem to have done some injury to Omar. The bolt hits the man dead center in the chest and he drops, whisps of smoke rising from the large burns.

Omar furious at having been injured raises his Volkswagen sized fist and slams it down upon the injured man, driving him into the earth, in a nearly literal sense. The man is broken beyond recognition.

Carter ducks and comes up behind the gunman that he first attacked, who has been indiscriminately spraying bullets non-stop since being stabbed. He deftly reaches around and puts his survival knife through the mans corotid artery. The gunman continues to spray bullets in an uncontrolled fashion as all the muscles in his body spasam. Then he crumples to the ground quite dead.

The final gunman sprays bullets down range at where everyone emerged from the warp. He is firing the gun one handed now giving him even less control or aim thanks to Isabel's sphere of light. With his other hand he reaches into his jacket. Morgan is winged, but doesn't seem to be in much more pain from the stray bullet that hit him. He doesn't look too well, but is still functional.

Morgan raises his gun at the last man and fires directly into the mans chest dropping him.

Pretty much the whole team was focused on the last gunman and saw the man reach into his jacket and activate something. The possibilities suggest either a distress beacon, or an explosive device. Given that these guys look like a black ops commando team, it's probably not a distress call. Either way, the team has only seconds to act.

The warp is still open. I will assume everyone races for the warp and dives through. If you do anything else let me know.

Marcus attempts to "imprison" the last guy in bands of lightning to prevent him from moving and using the device.

Stunned at what he has done Carter drops the blood drenched knife. He's never killed a person before, in his line of work it's always better to leave as little evidence as possible and a body is definately evidence ... seconds pass and Carter is nearly oblivious to the actions around him, he simply cannot act being unable to overcome his shock at his own actions and unable to determine a reasonable reaction to the events unfolding.

Omar looks at the Warp and realizes that he is too large to fit through. He doesn't know if he has time to decrease in size first.

Without even thinking, Omar grabs the man and throws him as far as he can.

Marcus realizes too late that the man has already activiated whatever it is in his jacket.

Carter stands in stunned shock over the body of the man he has just killed, his brain not quite making the connection that something bad is about to happen.

Meanwhile Omar realizes that he will not have time to escape the blast radius and picks the dead gunman up and literally throws him over the top of the ridge. Just as he goes over there is a blinding flash of light followed by a tremendous shockwave.

Before anyone has a chance to breath a sigh of relief, Omar notices lights flashing on the belts of the other three guys lying on the ground. With little choice he sends each flying over the escarpment. Five seconds after the last one hits the ground up there, there is an earth shattering kaboom. The shockwave is followed by a rain of gravel and stones. Luckily, no one is injured further.

Regrouping inside the cave, you are surprised to discover that not even dust has been dislodged from the roof. The cave system is completely intact and seems to be shielded from the outside.

Omar was tired. He had use a good bit of energy in the battle and needed some food and sleep. His satisfaction, at having wrought some justice on the enemy, was evident on his face. He was also proud at saving everone's lives, and he made sure everyone knew it.

Even though he acted out of pre-emtive self preservation, he had killed a man..it was something he'd never done before. It made him wonder if the man he killed had a family, and how sad they would be.

Omar quietly went to his gear and began to eat. He then fell asleep.
