I haven't been able to find a topic that addresses this question yet, so feel free to point one out to me if I've missed it.

What, as of 2017, is the status of the DeVries Agency and the Elite industry in general? What are the current global hotspots, if any, and how is the business of war?

First of, check out the new "A Breed Apart" fanbook. Its got some juicy stuff on what DeVries is up to, insofar as nova fertility goes. I aint going to ruin it for you, but I will tell you that we can at least surmise that Anna DeVries and Alinsky are still in charge and very much active.

I imagine public perception of Elites changes signifigantly if you incorporate the events from the WW:P2 chapter "Dominion" (Winter, 2014) into your game. It depends on how much of the damage Szlaniskovich's caused, in the Ukraine and elsewhere, is revealed. Of course, DeVries has enough covert nova talent to cover most of it up and enough public relations experience to obfuscate what it cant. But still, recognizeable DeVries elites killed thousands (perhaps millions, if they were succesful) in Kiev and Moscow. They probably suffer a hit to buisness, but maintain their number one standing in the buisness.

Alinsky is probably still THE forefront nova inventor. As far as Im concerned Alinsky has the "storyteller fiat" power. Whatever piece of technology you need to move your plot forward can come from her. It probably means that any current techological wonders/horrors in 2017 are popping out of her laboratory.

Lovely. I thought that was going to be the case, but you never know what can happen in ten years....

Now I can get my profile put up and not worry about stepping all over continuity.

Unfortunatly, while "A Breed Apart" has some interesting and amusing ideas, is not canon.

While using the ideas in it isn't restriced of course, you do run the risk of having people vote your stuff into Non-Canon.

Then there is the problem of the new powers/enhancements/rules. Any that you plan on using need to be supported and approved by the folks here. From what I've seen that can be a frustrating process that takes a loooooong time....

Just thought I'd mention it.

*laughs* I'll stick to the core book, the PG and Brainwaves on the rules. I was just worried about setting information.
