I'm very curious about the genesis of this site. It appears that a wide variety of Novas visit here regularly. I haven't seen people from as many varied locations and associations congregate in one place, even if it is a synthetic world. How did you discover this site and why do you keep coming back?

Between my experiments and my machinations, I need a place where I can vent to others of my kind. Although I think most of them would prefer if I stayed hidden in my lab, I surface to remind them that I am still here.

I was in New York at the time. I was looking for nova porn on my search engine, low and behold this site pops up. No porn, but the names I was searching for frequented here. I read for days.

Finally posted.

That's that.

Needless to say, suprisingly there are a few souls that frequent here that I would call 'friends' or at the least respected acquaintances (and for me, that's saying a lot).

The rest are fops, bootlicks, and toadies.

I am here in order to make necessary contact with a list of individuals.

Also... It has been observed by certain of my acquaintance that I need to 'get out more'. This forum strikes a compromise.

The link was already there when I bought it. I'm still reading. Haven't decided about hanging around.

I got access due to my practice, which was counselling people that were victims of Nova violence as a way of keeping track of what was going on without having to put up with N!'s obsessive tendencies.

I've stayed because I've erupted and while my practice no longer exists, it provides a way to keep abreast of issues within the Nova community since I know so few Novas personally.

Thanks

Lou Anne

Seconded on Nathan Explosion. I figured there'd be porn here. Instead a found a place to yell at morons, which is almost as good.

I was scared and alone after my eruption. While I sat in a Rashoud facility I ran a search for nova places and found this site where a bunch of novas were all chatting.

Well, really wierd things happened, but several of the people on this site came and helped me get out of the facility. Ever since then every one here has always been really nice to me (even when they aren't being so nice to each other.)

It's hard to not come back to love like this. grin

I just got the interweb for the first time not long ago. I was trying to find more people like me. The only friends I have are the few in the Teragen that I have.

I read a lot on here before I decided to say hello.

So hello!

Teragen ain't friends? I think you mistake.

They're the ones protecting you from the baselines rules.

They're more friend than foe.

I was looking for help with a keyboard problem and hit up this place for help dealing with it. At the time I found that others socialized with me easier as a Op-presence than a physical one.

Kid, yer a lil new to all this so I ain't gonna argue this with ya. Yer into something that you think is Ab/Fab an are all gusto about. Good for ya, best o' luck on the that road.

However, you are making the same mistake that several novas (not Terats, or Utopians, or Elites, cuz yer all the same... novas) have made before you came along. No one protects us from anything.

I protect myself, we all do. The day I stop protecting myself is the day this body rots for good.

It's called freedom of choice. Every sentient creature (baseline or otherwise) is granted this luxury, it's just we novas seem the strongest at exercising it.

Why dedicate yourself to a single cause ran by someone like Mal, or Pax, being nothing but their bootlicker for the rest of your years?

Nope, not for me. I'm neutral, I'll wipe the floor with a Terat just as soon as I would a Utopian or an Elite. Yer all just novas to me.

I see your freedom, Revenant. And this is my freedom.

I see something great in Divis Mal. I would follow him to the ends of the earth, I would.

But that is now.

If in a few years I want to go my seperate way, I will. If in a few years Divis seperates himself from the Teragen, I might stay.

I am where I am not only because I see something great in Mal, but because my comrades and myself believe in a common cause. We do not advicate trying to keep The One Race under the rules of the Baselines. That is why me, and my comrades, are in the Teragen. We do something about these baselines, or nova's who deem it necessary to keep us in line with the Baseline rules. Surely, you must understand. You look out for number one, correct? What will happen when the Baselines decide to prioritize its acquisition of Nova's for its wars? It will happen if my friends and I do not exist. We are trying to free those who will not free themselves. That is my freedom.

Yeah, kid. You're really being oppressed by the plebs. Having superpowers and a stable of baseline sycophants sure is hard.

Me? Would you believe I stumbled on it?
Seriously. This was at a time I avoided a terminal out of general practice. When I realized I was shutting myself out from the word, I decided to invest in a small terminal to see what the hub-bub was about regarding the opnet.

And before you ask, I never had a computer or terminal or anything in my life until I started coming here. I thought the digital medium cheapened communication. Yeah I used other terminals here and there to pull up research or look up something on an archive, but that's it. And before you ask, I never watched video of any kind. When I was young, I never watched TV or Opnet Feeds. My family is like that. I guess they figured it'd make me smarter or something.

After I got my home system, I started looking around, and I found a chain of links leading here. Took about an hour.

My how time changes.

As Gryle said. I'm here because certain townspeople feared that my....lifestyle might cause mental instability. They requested I move from my current residence; I declined. Instead I got an apartment in which I spend at least an hour every day. And inside this apartment is my terminal, a wonderful and useful object which (to hear the townspeople tell it) is the only thing keeping me from utter MADNESS!

Sometimes baselines make me smile.

Finally went through some old e-mail, and I found a link to this place. Filled out all the forms. Besides, I had my Junebug telling me I needed more of a social life.

Sounds weird, a novox singer needing more of a social life, but it happens. I don't screw around on the road, and without the party scene it just becomes one trip after another to one stadium or club after another. Then when I'm at home, I want to spend time with my wife. The occasional poker night/guy's night out really wears thin after you've popped, just like scotch loses its kick, you know?

And that's something else: anyone know a good nova-friendly gym? Because I'm starting to get into treating my body a lot better, and I'd rather have some place indoors to work out in than go to some old trainyard and start trying to juggle boxcars, or something.
