I think it is high time we come to a group understanding regarding MC (Apparently what folks call Signy/Dreamer/Y.T.'s player in real-life)

1. That MC has a learning disability is completely immaterial. The player simply does not want to make the effort to spell-check his work. Commenting on it only gives him the opportunity to point out his disability. Nothing is going to change there. It's been years and he is still doing it.

2. Yes, the characters are almost universally identical. They are all antagonistic, philosophically fixated individuals. Fine, MC is not the only one with constants in character builds. Pointing it out isn't going to make him create something he doesn't want to play.

3. No, MC does not have a firm grasp of logic or how to debate a point. If you do manage to point out something irrefutabely true all he is going to do is come up with a new reason to do what he wants to do. Again, he's been doing it forever.

So, MC is who MC is. No one can beat him on the head and make him change. All we are doing is spending a lot of time and energy trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole.

If you enjoy interacting with MC's characters, that's cool. If you don't, then don't. If you don't like interacting with MC then don't. This constant fighting isn't getting us anything. I know. I've bitched and moaned at and about him more than most.

Maybe that is why you have failed. I see no reason to change to avoid negative feed back when I started with it in the first place. True all my characters are similar in some ways but they changing, at least I am trying. No it is not due to your bitching moaning or debates. In the long run those things would most likely make the changes longer and harder to achieve, this is not due to the lack of logic on your point but largely the delivery system.

I would like to point out that Good Alice tells you anything you want that is not personal in nature. Her religion is very personal in nature. Now you look at Catalyst well she started out asking a lot of big questions largely because something big happened to her. She is being hostile well because she feel damned threatened.

Valid points Hugin. I suppose it just bothers me, and it always has that even when someone tried to be nice to it, it still replies with insults, cursing, and whatever else.

Ahh well. No skin of by nose.

Re: learning disabilities

I suffer from severe ADHD and dyslexia myself. As a matter of fact, Hyperfocus is an actual ability possessed by those with ADHD which allows us to...well, hyperfocus on stuff that interests us. Our internal sense of time turns off and we can absorb massive amounts of information. If you've ever looked up after following links on wikipedia from one subject to another and wondered how you lost 4 hours then welcome to the club. Wiki "hyperfocus" next time you do that. Yes, ADHD people really do have our own real world "super power".

My point being (our other super-power is going off on tangents), having a learning disability isn't a valid excuse for being a immature and unimaginative. As a matter of fact, someone with actual neurological ADHD would have to work rather hard at being as unimaginative as MC appears to be. Whatever MC's deal is, I give no credence to the ADHD pity party it's trying to engender and neither should anyone else.

MC: A disability is no reason to not even try to be reasonable. My friend Jill would run you over with her wheelchair if she heard you use it as a cop out for bad behavior (she'd then go write an amazing play about it). Grow up and stop expecting everyone else to bend over backward to accommodate you.
