I've been thinking about starting an ongoing thread on Opnet 2017 for people to post flavor text that ties in with their own Fictions and RPing. Posts would consist of news reports, interviews, or other publicly available information regarding your Novas activities.

The idea occurred to me when I was thinking of posting an excerpt from a Washington DC gossip column highlighting public events from the inaugural ball my character threw. It seems a useful way to (a) announce an open fiction (b) announce a completed fiction (c) keep your plotline moving or character developing without writing full fiction.

An update from a legal magazine on the preparations for Timeslips trial. Wargear announcing a new book. The Vixens new advertisement for a body waxing chain (okay, that last one was crude). An interview with the Wakinyan on a AIM (American Indian Movement) publication. Just a few ideas Ive gleaned from peoples recent posts and fiction.

I think we could all agree not to post cannon-shaking events or brainstorm some way to moderate it. Whattyathink?

Actually, you can submit news stories to Hugin, and he posts them as news stories which people then chat about. He asks that you submit three at once, and that they aren't meant to be all vehicles for moving forward your character.
