So, I'm lying here in a hospital bed (long story) and thinking I really just can't go back to my insignificant job and relatively uneventful life in this city after what's happened. Starting by the fact that with all this the fact that I'm a nova is going to leak out and, really, that always draw too much attention for my tastes.

So I want a little change of life. My father wants me to go back to Britain, and Utopia wants me under some version of protective custody. Neither of the options is really appealing, so I was thinking of simply going somewhere else in this country, maybe not even to stay very long. I never really have any problems in finding small miscellaneous jobs places, so that's not a problem. Point is, where to? What's a nice, or at least interesting, place to live in this country? Really, tell me even the ones that seem obvious, I'm a Brit, I probably don't know them. Oh, and if you happen to have/know a place for rent there, that's extra points.

I'd be a traitor if I didn't say come to Miami; I can't begin to list the things you can do here. If you like unusual zoos, then there's Monkey Jungle, where you walk through cages, and the monkeys run free in a semi-Brazilian jungle. If you like relaxing, you can take a ride on the two mast schooner, the Heritage of Miami. And of course, you can meet me. laugh

Outside of Miami, there's Letchworth State Park. It's called the Grand Canyon of the East. I can't describe it, except to say that I have a lovely weekend there when I was dating an actor who was an environmentalist. Here's a link to it.

If you like to travel, you can join me. In the last four months, I have been to Australia, Tahiti, Hawaii, Costa Rica, New Zealand, South Africa, and Borneo. My journeys' tend to follow the tides. I have a great time, and get to meet many new people. I live in Monterrey, California, and spend a lot of time cruising up and down the coast. If you'd like to head off to some far corner of the earth, give me a call.

I am currently touring the US, actually.

There is no place like New York City, I gotta say. If you mean to disappear, you can do it there without trying.

If you like scenery, try north California. All mixes of landscape are available. Forests, beaches, mountains. All beautiful.

And another point, if you're trying to hide, why announce where you could potientially go here?

Oh, you misunderstand me, I'm not trying to hide. It's everyone else who think that someone may be after me. I mainly just want a change of scenery, and to go somewhere where most people don't know I'm a nova, because my cover in NYC is totally blown. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before some local paper spins what happened into "Nova Battle On The Streets" or what-have-you, that is if they haven't already. This board is nova-only, and I really don't mind you people knowing who I am and where I'm going, you'd have to be really twisted to use it to sic paparazzi on me or something.

Oh, and Longball, not that it doesn't sound cool and all, but I don't really have a grand amount of savings. My plan is to get a job wherever I go and use that to keep on going. There's not all that many jobs available on a cruise ship or the like. Except maybe if you need a bartender.

Than I would definitally suggest west coast. Washington, California, and that other state, offer most of anything you could want.

And get this. It doesn't snow in LA.

Oh, Percy, I could list a hundred places you really must see! smile I give my strogest possible recommendations to San Francisco and New York City, as they'll both give you a really great impression of what American cities are like. If you're looking for something rural, I'd suggest the Pacific northwest, especially the Redwood forests of northern California and Oregon. If you like humid weather, check out the Floriday keys. Few sighs in this country are more breathtaking than the Grand Canyon. For impressive erections (grin), check out Washington, DC, especially. The midwest is great if you want to get lost or go nowhere in particular for days, and Montana will show you the largest sky you've ever seen.

There are lots of places in this country that are worth seeing. smile If you want to meet up somewhere, I'd love to show you around some places. Maybe you'll even get to see the inside of my bedroom, if you want. wink

New York really isn't all that hot. Besides, pretty boy wouldn't last five minutes here in NY. They can spot a tourist a mile away, and now even the gangs are sporting Nova muscle, or at the least mitiods.

Sounds like I need to visit NY more often.

Get your various problems to solve themselves!

Come visit South Africa, Anna can find something for you to do making tons of money, and the general nova area is very much like a cruise ship. I'll be security is good enough to take a load off of your shoulders too.

Actually I'd prefer you didn't. Because no doubt you'd get spotted trying to slip under the skirt of some 'just turned legal' minor and PU and I would have to roast you in the street for being a sick-o pervert.

If she's legal then she isn't a minor.

Not sure if "pevert" applies or not. Yep, I like women, all women. Don't think it's my fault that all of them are younger than me now days.

And how old are you Summer?

Well, San Jose is not much to see, but it is in the Bay so you could come to San Jose, and see the sites around it. I live In San Jose, it is hot, dry.It has some good night clubs,it has some good jobs, but the best part about it is how easy you can get to other places.

You can always come to the northwest coast on Oregon Percy, we got great places like coasts, mountains, forests and even a highway or two!

Got a nice climate, and the people are always kind to one another...except in California, I always get treated like crap because I'm not a "city folk" in there.

I would very much like to meet you sometime, Liberteen, I've always thought you're an admirable character I'd really like to have a chat with. Even though asking you out for tea is terribly old fashioned and continental, I'm going to do it anyway, if I can find anywhere serving good tea where I am at the time, at least.

Wait, you're actually suggesting I become an elite? Oh dear, meaning no disrespect, that one got a good chuckle. I'm a pacifist with pretty strong moral values, with not very forceful powers, who likes to keep a low profile. I really wouldn't fit in with that crowd. Not at all.

I lasted there for much more than five minutes, Summer, never had any problems with gangs. Wasn't them who got me in the end either.

To everyone else, I appreciate your suggestions, and I'll be looking into all of them, if possible. The only thing better than being able to fly anywhere you want is being able to hitchhike there when you get tired, heh.

They'll be letting me out of the hospital in a few days, so I guess I'll have to make my mind up as to where I'll go first. I'll keep you guys informed, although i'm sure most of you couldn't care less.

Not an elite. Anna runs two companies, DeVries and DVNTS (DeVries Nova Tactical Solutions). DVNTS is for us elites, and the home base is a military training camp.

DeVries is for the nova non-elites, Doctors, Artists, etc. It's probably the best job shops on the planet, and I'm told it's home base reminds lots of people of a cruise ship (although personally I wouldn't know... I've never been on one). They throw great parties.
