We did it for 2017, now let's do it for 2009! What song or songs best catch the feeling of your character?

Bet Cha by the Pussycat Dolls (This is completely Kara - she really likes men to lust after her, but she doesn't need to have them all.)
Die Another Day by Madonna (This song feels like the "real" Kara.)

Ha! I love it. You totally stole my idea! I was working on this very same ting the moment you posted this!

Get outta my head!

Alright, Gabe's is easy.

Joe Walsh

Life's Been Good

I have a mansion
Forget the price
Ain't never been there
They tell me it's nice

I live in hotels
Tear out the walls
I have accountants
Pay for it all

They say I'm crazy but I have a good time
I'm just looking for clues at the scene of the crime
Life's been good to me so far

My Lamborghini
Does one eighty-five
I lost my license
Now I don't drive

I have a limo
Ride in the back
I lock the doors
In case I'm attacked

I'm making records
My fans they can't wait
They write me letters
Tell me I'm great

So I got me an office
Gold records on the wall
Just leave a message
Maybe I'll call

Lucky I'm sane after all I've been through
(Everybody sing) I'm cool (He's cool)
I can't complain but sometimes I still do
Life's been good to me so far

I go to parties
Sometimes until four
It's hard to leave
When you can't find the door

It's tough to handle
This fortune and fame
Everybody's so different
I haven't changed

They say I'm lazy but it takes all my time
(Everybody sing) Oh yeah (Oh yeah)
I keep on going guess I'll never know why
Life's been good to me so far baby,
inside the Sad Cafe.

Shenanigans!! laugh I did this for LiberTeen in the original thread last week! frown

Anyway. smile As I said in that thread, LiberTeen's song is, without a doubt, 'Love is All Around', especially the version done by Joan Jett. It's beyond perfect.

Hmm, character theme songs...

Balm's themes would definitely be the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)" and "Just Hold On" (the version featuring Natalie Bisselthwaite [sic] is a good one). She's definitely the kind of character who chases something on the horizon, and swings between depression and happiness at the drop of a hat.

Frond is much more difficult, though "Hungry Town" is so appropriate given her work with CARE and experiences of poverty.

Flow... I can't think of any good songs for her from the top of my head.

For Robert, let's see.

Sonata Arctica - Respect the Wilderness OR The Cage.

Both fit him in that very special way that werewolves have silver fit them =P

as for Alessa, I can't lie: "Aqua - Barbie Girl" that's how she appears to others, I can't deny it =P

Regina Spektor - Fidelity Here it is
(Shake it up)

I never loved nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting my heart truly
I got lost in the sounds
I hear in my mind
All these voices
I hear in my mind all these words
I hear in my mind all this music

And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
And it breaks my heart
It breaks my heart

And suppose I never met you
Suppose we never fell in love
Suppose I never ever let you kiss me so sweet and so soft
Suppose I never ever saw you
Suppose we never ever called
Suppose I kept on singing love songs just to break my own fall
Just to break my fall
Just to break my fall
Break my fall
Break my fall

All my friends say that of course its gonna get better
Gonna get better
Better better better better
Better better better

I never love nobody fully
Always one foot on the ground
And by protecting by heart truly
I got lost
In the sounds
I hear in my mind
All these voices
I hear in my mind all these words
I hear in my mind
All this music
And it breaks my heart
It breaks my heart
Breaks my
Heart
Breaks my heart

I feel like a total tool, but I really like that song by Regina Spektor.
Anyway, I thought on Troy's for a few days. Once I remembered that this song exist, it fit so perfectly.

Switchfoot - Meant To Live

Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments,
And failed attempts to fly.
Fly.

We were meant to live for so much more
have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

Dreaming about Providence
And whether nicer men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken. Broken

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life

Yeahhh!

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

Little girl, it's a great big world but there's
only one of me
You can't touch 'cause I cost too much but
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're sweet but you're just four feet
And you still got your baby teeth
You're too young and I'm too well hung
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're hot, you take all we got, not a dry
seat in the house
Next day, we'll be on our way
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
Chorus:
Little girl, it's a great big world, but there's
only one of me-

Yeah, I'm a dick. Go ahead and say it.

But in all seriousness.

I've got big dreams but no self-esteem, you know?
I'd reach for the stars but I can't find my arms
All this time we've accomplished so much
Why can't I believe why can't I just feel love?
Oooo
Goin' away leavin' today you've gotta find a brand new hero
Oooo
I let you down when you're not around, you know?
I can't be trusted with anything
All this time we've wanted so much
To just belong why can't we just feel love?
Oooo
Goin' away leavin today you've gotta find a brand new hero
What will they say when I've gone away? Gotta find a brand new hero-

Always talking but I never say alot
And I'll blow it if I get another shot
Cause it seems like no matter what I got
It feels like it's nothing
I feel like I'm nothing
Goin' away, leavin' today, you've gotta find a brand new hero
What will they say, when I've gone away? You've gotta find a brand New Hero!
Brand New Hero... Brand New Hero... Brand New Hero...
