I'm looking to make a(nother) character, and would like to know what concents we haven't covered between us. I know we have the werewolf, the DD serial killer, the patriotic teenage omnisexual, the First Response nova, the temporal manipulator (mine), the ex-soldier, the goddess of life and death, the plant-whisper (mine, and could be dropped), the weather-chickie (mine, :P), the radioactive girl, the porn queen, the speedster/flight, the ice-and-fire chick, the ice-Terat, the Fire-Terat...

Basically, the power-set for Brigid is open, because she erupts from a combo of Quantum Exposure/Revelation. I don't want to be making any copies of anyone.

Suggestions? Oh, and please leave the ADHD comments at home.

Why not go for something really new that you haven't done yet... like play a character you've already made for awhile.

Ferals/nature novas, shadow manipulators, luck-based novas, former athletes, a biolum, and the mega-gorgeous socialites are also taken. Maybe make her a terramancer? That's a generally unused elemental template, and would work well with the name "Emerald."

I suppose so, but you're doing the same thing here that you did in 2017. You keep making characters that do not use power schemes already in use. Eventually someone will want to make an original nova, but can't because you have 25 characters while everyone else is on 4 or 5. It's called a monopoly.

It's greedy and a waste, if you're only going to post with them 3 or 4 times, it's insulting to the people who want to use the power scheme of a character you've already made (or perhaps even the name) for an actuall character that will get to see play but can't because you hold the rights to the characters 'likeness'.

Have some respect for the other players, be content with what you have. If you don't want to play the characters you've made, why did you make them?

There is a difference between doing something so specific as copying Johnny LP specifically (i.e., using Clone to create corpses) and making another Fire-guy or another Ice-chick. It's a matter of degree and creativity; if someone made character with both Healing and Quantum Vampire (Health levels), I'd be ok unless she also happened to match Hina in other ways.

It comes down to the character; the powers are supposed to be there to support the character, not the other way around. Don't copy the character, but as far as I'm concerned, you can reuse the powers until the cows come home. There's only so many of them anyway; there's going to be some overlap, especially since some of the "good" powers are already taken.

Yes. I don't feel I'm stepping on toes by making Josh a Temporal Manipulator, simply because his approach to the power (stupid and shallow is an apt description) is going to be very different than someone else’s.

He uses it to run fast, beat people up, stay young, and generate pocket change. He’s a rich speed brick, and this just makes him more so. Even with a willpower point his statistical roll on TimeStop is a failure.
