Hmm... my words were poorly choosen, perhaps; instead of 'normal-looking' I should have said 'unbaseline-like'. In my experiences, there is a great deal of difference in baseline's perception between having a tail and having a burning hole instead of eyes. One could be seen as exotic or sexy; the other would inspire fear, I believe. Yet the nova with the aberranted eyes is just as beautiful as Instar, and just as worthy of exhibition as the best of what we can be. We should not be used as a marketing ploy, not even by the high and mighty Project Utopia. PU has a bad habit of acting as if those who bear the physical marks of quantum as bad or somehow tainted, and for that, I cannot forgive them.

Should I be worried you knew I had a tail...or just a coincidence? Some of what you say does make a lot of sense. But I don't think Utopia's intention of making Novas look good to the general population are bad. I won't disagree with you that they should want to show that all good Novas are good. We're just people.

I'm not sure Utopia is into just physical appearances. They sem to want those who project an image that puts them in a beneficial position. Afterall, don't they have some green guy working for them? He is obviously un-baseline looking.

As for what I think of them... They are too controlling. I spoke with a representative last week, and he said that I had to act according to their rules. In addition, I would be required to work for their organization. Why would I want to work? Work is for the poor, the middle class, and thoso who like to take orders.

Before my erruption, I felt my abilities had been a gift. I wanted to share what I'd received by luck by trying to accomplish something good. I don't know if what's happenned to me now is an even bigger gift or a curse but I want to find out.

In a meaningless coincidence, I erupted after a lab accident at my high school that involved a pumped carbon-dioxide laser and a piece of dead EuFiber.

Ooo, lab experiements gone wrong. That was the cause of my eruption as well; the containment unit failed, and flooded the room I was in with radiation. I recieved a lethal dose, and my body responded by becoming a radioactive substance long enough for me to survive.

We should form a club.

You know what's sad? I haven't gotten one offer of employment from any of these big dog companies. Even Utopia didn't make a pitch. I thought they hit up every nova to join their crusade?

Not much really. I glow. Well that and I can navigate perfectly when I can't see. Some of my senses are heightened too but not in any really useful way.

Well, there may still be a place for you in PR or Administration. What is your pre-eruption background?

I'm an architect by training and trade. I could probably do PR but I really like my job. Besides, my powers, while handy for lighting your way to the bathroom at night, are hardly impressive enough to base a PR campaign around. What I'd really like to do is get a shot at heading up my own project.

Did your eruption help your architecture skills?

Nope. I just glow...and have some sort of blindsense. A lame combo, I know. At least I can get into all the cool Nova Parties in Montreal now.

I don't know if want is the right word Aura. I mean I've heard that Utopia pays the Novas working for them well and the benefits package is probably amazing, but if it comes down to staying where I am and doing a job I really enjoy or signing on with Utopia and doing a job I don't really care about I'll stay where I am thanks.

Thank you for the offer Mr. Ravenshire but I'm going to have to decine for now. Running an architectual firm and being an architect for one are two different things. Being the boss means I wouldn't get to do what I love, which is designing buildings. So I don't mind working for others for now.
