((OOC this thread is open to Kongou and Saito to post their combat against the Large mecha-sized demons outside the school, everyone else continue in your normal group sections please.))

The beam slammed into the Null-Viper's chest and the radiation alarm was going off. Kongou slammed on the override for the alarm and turned his attention back to the Demon before him. He throws a series of switches and presses a button on the joystick. The covers on Null-Viper's shoulders re-open and the mini-rockets fire again at the demon, wreathing the two combatants in smoke.



[OOC Attack Roll - 16(-2 to defense roll), Defense Roll - 19 Damage if it hits, 126]

A flash of light is seen in the sky and what appears to be a jet fighter craft engulfed in flames begins circling the courtyard. The craft comes close to the ground but no heat is being generated by the craft. As the fighter slows to a stop, a pair of arms and legs are revealed and the craft begins to take a human shape. The mecha is a white robot with red and black highlights at the joints, it is armed with a large katana at it's side, a shield and a large beam rifle in it's hand. The Meteor Gundam smaller than the Null-Viper, however with the jet boosters on it's back the Gundam can achieve a much higher speed. Anyone with any knowlege of the Circanus Federation can instantly tell that it is one of their models. Saito then climbs up the leg of Meteor Gundam and enters the cockpit.

"Metoer Gundam Ready to engage Enemy".

Once inside the cockpit Saito presses a button to close the outside door. Saito then throws three toggle switches to activate the screens and scanning devices. The screen that is on the inside of the doors shows the demons in a selection of colors.

"Initial scans reveal that elimination of the target's head area is the quickest way to victory"

Saito grabs the joystick controls and Meteor Gundam raises it's arm and aims the Hyper Beam Rifle. Inside the mecha, a target appears at one of the demon's head as yellow and finally turns red.

"Target locked-on. Commencing Attack."

After a short charge the Hyper Beam Rifle lets fire with a stream of orange energy at one of the demons.

The Missile attack once again wreaks havok on the monster. Now large chunks of armor fall away and sickly gren fluid oozes froom a large gaping wound in its side. Even as the cannon arm is severed, it still manages one more attack, The green blast connecting squarely with the centerline of the NullViper. The Forcefield hisses and pops as it works to dissipate the energy and the armor is blackened some, but the attack did no lasting damage as the last one did.

The Roiling stream of energy momentarily connects the Meteor to one of the demons' shoulders.It howls with Rage as massive Shield arm is amputated at the shoulder, It and its partner both turn to face the new robotic threat and both raise their cannon arms and fire.

The Meteor Gundam brings it's shield close to him in order to defend against the incoming attack.

The two green blasts both fly wide of the Meteor Gundam as the two demons begin to move for it. "Des... Destroy!!!" the word comes out as a guttural Roar as the both begin charging thei cannons. The one still posessing it's shield positions it protectively and moves in ahead of it's wounded comrade.

The other two focus on the Null Viper, the one currently there reaching out with it's massive claw arm in an effort to hold the Viper in place. The second pristine demon draws close it's shield starting to grow, and even from within the cockpit Kongou can hear the high-bitched whine that sounds like a suped-up buzzsaw.

He easily dodged the feeble claw attempt but the moment's effort cost him dearly. He saw the massive glowing green blade coming in and raised the left arm of the viper to stop it. The forecfield shimmered and then shattered as the shield impacted it. With still more destructive force remaining it cleaved into the armor of the the arm, stripping it clean of all armor and cracking the ferro-titanium humerus. The attack rained sparks down on everything below and the sickening grind of shearing and the tearing of metal filled the air.

Inside the cockpit, Kongou winced as the armor was shredded on the left arm, and fought the controls as the balance was thrown off. "Damn. I think it's time for surprise number two." He throws a couple of switches and turns the mech so that it's headed away from the school. He then gooses the throttle to 1/3 of max, and the Null-Viper speeds off into the city, quickly turning around a corner, and hunkers down in between the two blocks. Kongou keeps an eye on the sensors, waiting for the inevitable reaction from the demons.

The demons aren't near as fast, but they tear off with thunderous steps after the Null Viper into the city, The one still armed with its cannon continues to fire trying to hit the speeding mecha. The shots tear great chunks from the surrounding buildings, just as the massive swinging shield arms do. The Demons rampage destroying everything in their path as they pursue the Viper through the city, Their bellows of rage shattering all the glass around. They neared Kongou's hiding place after having given up the chase and simply started destroying everything in sight. The massive energy cannon vaporized the lower levels of a skyscraper, sending the building crashing down to th ground.

Saito sees the allied mech speed off into the city followed by it's demonic persuers.

"Combat situation has changed. Continuing combat in the current area could prove dangerous to allied personal."

Saito throws both controls into reverse and turns around changing to Flight Mode as he does so. Saito makes sure to keep his speed low enough so that the demons will continue to give chase. Saito flies his craft out toward the bay area.

Thrusters roared to life as the demons took flight after the Meteor, blazing away with cannonfire, lighting up the night, but due to the extreme maneuverability of the Meteor, failing to actually threaten the machine.

Saito used the two control stick to change the direction of the Meteor Gundam. The Meteor flew directly toward the oncoming demons. Saito then did the sequence to change his mecha back into a robot. Now in robot mode, Saito commanded the Meteor to draw it's sword and dash toward the demons at full speed.

When the demons on the ground approach within range, Kongou steps the Null-Viper out from behind the building. The shoulder covers re-open, and the Heavy Claymores fire, the smoke wreathing the Null-Viper's form. The shot spreads out to engulf both of the demons.

Saito's sword attack draws a sick red scar across the onrushing demon. The sword cuts deep, but not deep enough to do serious damage. It howls in rage and brings its massive shield arm around in a slash, that misses by inches the Meteor's golden crest. The second demon does it's best to fire around the first one, but it's shots misl widely, going on to impact at the edge of the shield.

Meanwhile Kongou unleashes hell on the two deoms in downtown Tokyo. His attack envelops both of them, deepening the scars of one of them, and finishing off the one that had been lagging behind. The one remaining was staggered by the attack and fell to the left, into a large apartment building. Its attack missed wide of the Null Viper, but struck the building it had been using for cover full on, turning half the main supports keeping the fifteen story building upright. There was a flash of light, nd then the world seemed almost normal. As the pilots look around they notice them, The people, the blood and gore and smoke and fire of the demon's rampage through the city. Dozens of buildings had huge gaping holes in them, A half dozen had been toppled.

With a sick groan of warping metal, the remaining supports gave way and the building began to disintergrate and topple onto the Null Viper. As he looked, he could see the bodies falling, his sensors read a rapidly decreasing number of life signs. He could see the foot prints that were clearly those of the Viper, and within them were cars that were now bloodstained masses of compacted metal.

When Saito actually looked past his foes, he could see an entire district of the city burning, his auditory pick-ups transmitted the roar of the flames, the wail of the sirens, and the groan of metal as another building began to fall.

(((OOC One, Kongou make a Soul check (target is 14) to keep your wits at witnessing the "truth" of what's going on. If you succeed, make a Piloting (Mind and Piloting) check (target 13) for Kongou to get the viper out of the way in time.

Saito, you too need to make a soul Check (target 12) to not be taken in by the scene. Then both of you need to prepare your next actions.))

Saito cannot believe the amount of destruction that has befallen his home. The people that have died because of this battle. Saito decides that he must do everything that is possible in order to end the fight as soon as possible. The screens flash warning Saito of critical mission information and it wakes him up.

"Roger that mission. Changing Combat techniques to bring a quick end to battle"

The Meteor Gundam dashes back and forth dodging the swipes of the demon's shield and as soon as he sees an opening begins to fly at max speed into the sky before stopping suddenly and bringing his Beam Cannon toward his enemy.

"Target Locked. Fire."

The familiar charge of the cannon started and fired an orange beam down into the demons.

[Soul Roll- 15, Piloting- 16]

Kongou looks up and notes the rapidly approaching building, but rather than take in the scene properly, he shakes his head, refusing to believe the damage was caused by him alone. He moves the throttle up and twists it, launching the Null-Viper into the air on a column of super-heated air. The Null-Viper then levels off and speeds away from the collapsing building, trying to keep from crushing too many cars. Kongou says a prayer and watches as the building finally collapses, sending untold numbers to meet their maker. He turns the Null-Viper onto a course designed to pass just to the right of the remaining demon. The Null-viper extends it's right arm and the stake on it at the head of the demon.

The second demon roars even as it dies, its cannon finding the Null-Viper's weakened left arm. The Ravenous energy breaks through the last protection and the sever's the arm mid humerus as its last act of defiance, Leaving Kongou alone amidst the rubble and destruction.

There was a massive flash as the Beam cannon from the Meteor disgorged its charge into the two demons. It cored straight the torso of the first demon and impacted the Head of the second. The first demon screamed in rage as it's cannon fired, amputating the Shield arm of the Meteor. The Second headshot demon died without a sound. The arm and the two demonic corpses fell heavily into the harbor, leaving the Meteor alone in the skies above.

The radio in the Viper's Cockpit came alive with direct link laser broadcast. "Unidentified Mecha, This is Captain Jean-Marie Bordeaux of Satoshi Heavy Industries Crisis Response team Seven. Stand down immediately or you will be fired upon and disabled. You are surrounded and vastly outmatched, this is your first and final warning." Despite the words the voice was easily one of the most beautiful Kongou had ever heard.

Without Warning a gleaming Silver and Blue Mecha uncloaked before the NullViper, flanked by a full dozen mecha that looked like mass-production models that were all painted in the same blue-silver paint theme. The Captain's machine carried a massive shield, missile pods and a rail-cannnon on its right shoulder as visible armaments. Its right hand held a oversized beam rifle that looked to be outfitted for extreme accuracy.

"We just wish to Escort you to the SHI hangar , we can repair your machines for a fee, and some information. Please, make the right call here."

Over the harbor, Saito in the Meteor was confronted by a much more menacing Situation.He was Staring down the barrels of a a dozen beam rifles and at least four heavy rail cannons a half dozen missile pods. "This is Captain Sergei Khirghiz of Satoshi Heavy Industries Crisis Response Team Ten. Stand Down now or you will be destroyed." To emhasize this threat The missile pods opened and The Meteor registered thirteen solid target locks at near pointblank range.

Captain Khirghiz's machine was painted White from the waist down with a green Torso and reg accents over its missile pods. Currently all the weapons were trained on him.

"Make my day pilot. Resist us, You killed those demons before I could fire, and I'm still itching to cut loose."

It didn't look good, but with the sheer odds against him Saito was beset with very bleak choices. "If you Surrender I can't fire, and I'm obliged to take you back to the hangar for repair, but your debriefing will have to be handled by someone." The threat was there, naked and unabashed.

"Sure, why not. After all, we're all friends here." After these words leave Kongou's mouth, he looks up at the large silver and blue mechs. The Null-Viper bends down and picks up the severed mecha hand. Kongou pulls up on the GPS system, turning it to track mode. The Null-Viper then waves the severed hand at the silver and blue mecha, "We should get going."

Saito lowers the sword arm of the Meteor.

"Very well, I shall comply. However, I will be supervising any and all work done on my machine. In addition to that, I also would like you go guarantee the safety of my companions".

"In return for this, I shall provide you with any information that I can regarding this incident."

"You've got brass balls kid I'll give you that. If you want to work with the greasemonkeys fine I won't stop ya. As to your companions, That you're gonna have to take up with Captains Ishiyama and Hayami, their fate is in their hands. Now come along, we have transport waiting to take us to Shamballa Base."

"Very Well"

Saito powers down the combat functions of the Meteor, makes sure that everything is in work order and follows the other mecha to their transport.

The Null Viper and the Meteor are both loaded onto the transport and all radio and gps systems are jammed as the transport cloaks and makes its way to Shamballa base. When they finally come to a stop the bay doors open to a Canvernous vault, containing at least two hundred giant combat mecha. Technicians were everywhere, and the noise was what should be expected from such a gigantic hangar.

The resources needed to maintain such a facility were astronomical, and yet Satoshi did it easily. They were lead by Captain Bordeaux to two empty berths and ordered to depower their machines. Once powered down crews began maintenence checks.

The Two Captains looked to each other with obvious hate. "I hear you actually locked the poor boy up after he took the demons with a single shot Sergei. How improper."

"What I choose to do with my target isn't your concern witch. I accoplished my mission just as you did. So stop your bitching."
