So I've decided to expand my acting career into more standard films. Before Josh breaks into tears, let me say that I'm not retiring from porn. But I want to show what I can do when not naked or semi-naked or you know, when not having some sort of sex. So my agent has convinced me to do an Independent Film. I have a script; it's a crime-thriller drama about a homocide detective facing a violent killer who gets personal.

The reason I'm telling you is that if any of you would like to be part of it, I'd be more than happy to have you aboard. We'll probably be filming in the Miami area in November and/or December. Just to be fair - I'll tell you that I've already taken the lead female part. I won't be directing; that's one of the positions that needs to be filled.

I have no training as an actor, and therefore, I volunteer my services as a stuntman.

It is not an action movie, but there might be some kind of dangerous stunt needing someone to do something crazy.

Mech, if we give you a support role, we can film your parts earlier in the shooting. That way, you'd be done by the time your show's filming starts.

As a last, quick note: I can only pay the base rates, so SAG standard. I think you'll have to get a SAG card too, but if that's an issue, we can work something out.

Ravenshire and Teleforce, thank you guys! Wow... I didn't think I'd get investors out of this offer. The more money we get, the more we can do. The script has novas in - most movies do today - but they use low-key powers like telepathy and putting people to sleep with a touch. Low-budget effects. But with more money, more than I could supply, we should be able to do more.

Now I'm getting excited.

Kara, I have twenty investors with a total of $5 million with only one day's work. Two recognized your film identity and all of them have put money into various Indie films and Art House projects over they years. All I had to do was lay out your potential, your smarts, and your looks and they were hooked.

If this is enough money for you to start with, I can beginning hounding down some distributors.

I can suppress my 'sparkiness' as you put it, if you feel it is necessary. However, I must tell you, that when I do, I lose my 'unique' abilities. I could still perform as a stuntman, as I have the requisite skills, its just that I'm not as resistant to damage, and I can't summersault on a razorblade.

Most of me can be covered up with clothing..as for my face and glowing cue-ball of a skull, you might have to use a wig and makeup.

Sorry, Ravenshire. I've dealt with far too many people to assume that there is more to them than what I see at first glance. Stereotypes exist for a reason; people do tend to fall into certain pre-set mindsets and behaviors. I save a lot of time assuming everyone is exactly who or what they appear to be. And Caramel appears to be another bubble-headed woman who does a disservice to all women by upholding misogynistic notions about beauty and sex. She's welcome to try to change my mind.

Alright, time to get this thread back on track. I've been compiling a list of the parts; I'm going to let you all have the first shot at positions that you are qualified for and then hire out whatever is left.

If you want to act, here are some of the available parts:

Douglas Hauser - local baseline cop who is one of the first to start piecing the information about the killer together; he is teamed up with my character once they realize they're dealing with a nova

The Killer (Michael "Flashback" Roth) - the killer is a nova with speed powers; he strangles his victims

Cpt Mark Greyson - my character's boss

Allen - my character's live-in fiance; he's a baseline, and the movie touches on the difficulty of a nova-baseline relationship

There will be a handful of other more generic parts, like some cop characters, as well as a few witnesses and one newscaster. Also, all of the parts are non-gender dependent. So if any of you girls want to play my live-in fiance, go for it!

If you're interested in a specific part, let me know, and we'll have you try out.

I don't know that I can, but I want to try. Being a nova gives me a boost, certainly, but I do know that I can act. Also, it's not unheard of for porn stars to make the jump with at least marginal success. Traci Lords is the most popular.

I've had one person already express interest in Flashback's part, so you'll both have to audition for the part. Announcements will go out about that shortly.

That said, the powers are not important because we can do a lot with special effects. The ability to convincingly play a serial killer is the most important part of the role. If you are aberrated and can't dorm, another actor will be hired to play you as a baseline.

But I am definitely interested in you, Transonic.

Actually, in thinking about it, it's not a very good idea.
