Also, it should be noted that philanthropy never pays you back... it's not like the US gives you tax breaks because you give to a charity or anything. So of course the fact that she is still damaging the image of women around the world is totally offset by the fact that she gets a tax break through charitable giving gives to the poor, the hungry, the downtrodden yearning to be free.

As I've stated before, people rarely step outside their stereotypes; those that do, get noted and treated appropriately. I've seen nothing yet from Kara to indicate she's anyone special. And as she's stated, she's not even trying to break out of her stereotypes. So I think we're good, actually; we understand each other.

Let's address the totalitarian aspect, sinse that is a contentious issue.

It seems, from what I have read, that The Coyote objects to what Kara represents. But what Kara represents is choice. A choice of what kind of life she leads. So therefore, if I oppose, and belittle the life someone chooses to lead, am I not opposing choice? To oppose choice is to oppose freedom.

A totalitarian does not like it when people make choices they disagree with. They will even shame others into compliance. Is that not what Coyote is doing to Kara? Given the power, they will force others to obey their will.

It is a mindset.

CMS is a nice young lady who disagrees with us. Its a huge leap of conjecture to think that if she had the power she would be breaking those who opposed her to her will.

It is best to stop tyranny sooner rather than later. It is also easy to stifle the opinions of those who oppose yours by claiming to be fighting tyranny.

Ravenshire and White Light, thanks for the assist, but honestly, if he thinks me a tyrant, let him. Women are often maligned when they choose to have forceful opinions.

But to be completely clear, let me address a few points:

1) I am no tyrant. I am also not silent in my views.

2) If my views shame Kara, then good. I don't believe they will, as she has shown no shame to date. And truth be told, I may come to admire her for that, if her stubbornness comes from strength of character rather than stupidity. I have not seen strength of character, whoever.

3) I do belittle, which is not the same as opposing. I make no effort to stop her, or to stop any of the other stupid or ignorant people who hurt others through their actions.

4) I hate tyranny. My racial history is rife with it, and I have no desire for it in my personal life.

5) This is how free speech works. We often disagree, and that doesn't make either of us tyrants.

Auditions are a few hours away from being announced; I'm arranging for a place to hold them in Miami. From some of the interest we've gotten, we're going to have a lot of people showing up. I know that some just want to try, and don't have a shot, but they're still trying, and we'll try to accomidate them.

I'll post in this thread once we know where; when is going to be October 14-16; that's a Wednesday through a Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
