Name: James DeBeer
Status: PC (Nova).
Aberrations: None

James DeBeer is 23 years old. Before the world went mad he was a fireman. He liked to drink, lift weights, fight in bars, and mime. Being a fireman is one part pure adrenaline combined with three parts preparation and nine parts boredom. One of the older firemen got him to join a barbershop quartet, and then taught him to be a mime. It was entertaining to the children, annoyed and entertained his co-workers and family, but more importantly it passed the time.

Then the world ended. To make a long story short those dead things swarmed him and the rest of the crew and then he was fighting them off with a blackly glowing sword. He and four others survived, but one of them had gotten bitten and when he converted he bit another. The two other surviving members of the crew are in a different community, there were some differences of opinion at the end there.

Currently James lives in a mall complex "community" with other survivors. He’s out and about a little too often to let him be the leader, but he is well connected. With his powers he's been able to loot parts of the city, function as “mailman” to other enclaves, and fight off the zombies in hand to hand combat without too many problems and his resources and community connections reflect this. Much to some people’s annoyance a pair of attractive “sisters” are “sharing” him. Before the plague they were SCA gals and it looks like the world is headed back to the 17th century. Even more ironically a sword is one of the more effective ways to fight these zombie things, James has lost track of how many axes he’s broken.

Powers: James is strong, can jump for miles, and is hard to hurt. He’s been bitten or shot dozens of times without having his skin broken. How this relates to his general “tuning up” he doesn't know. James can also call a “sword" into existence that “burns blackly”. Although unbreakable, the sword does less damage than a “real” sword or ax, and keeping it around while in combat is tiring.

Appearance: Standing at exactly 6 foot and weighing 200 pounds, James was always a pretty rugged specimen. He has brown hair, brown eyes, square jaw… and the build of someone who works out with an ax a lot. Transformation didn’t change his appearance at all but he has gotten more charismatic.

In the field he wears re-enforced leather clothing, while he still has his fireman’s outfit it’s mostly too bulky to be useful considering James' toughness.

EDIT: James has a history of Body-Building and the muscles to match (5 dots in Might).

Name: Thomas Soma
Status: PC (Nova).

Thomas Soma is only 18 years old, and while his family has been living in America for three generations and the only language he speaks is English, he is still of %100 Japanese stock. Before the zombies came the only thing that marked him as different from the typical teenager was his blindness and the keen interest in outdoors- and survival-style skills and activities that he’d inherited from his Father and Uncle. He lived in a middle class neighborhood in San Diego, with a (relatively) normal family, and he had a girlfriend he planned on marrying in a few years.

Then the zombies came and the world went to hell. Soma doesn’t like talk about what happened after that, or why he isn’t with his family or his girlfriend anymore, but the general outlines of the story are easy enough to read: he’s a nova now and he’s still alive; they aren’t. Whatever the actual details however, the experiences of the past few months have definitely left their mark on Soma, who looks visibly older than his 18 years and frequently carries a haunted expression on his face now.

In the past month or so Soma has made his way into the area around Oklahoma City, and has since been slowly making contact with the some of the larger, or better stocked enclaves around. He’s even partnered up with a local scavenger band once or twice. His visibly inhuman appearance does make relations with many enclaves to be more tense than not, but so far things have gone well enough as Soma frequently has something or other to trade, and is always willing to take messages to another enclave provided that he’s heading in that direction.

Powers: Despite his blindness, Soma has the ability to “see” quite well with his ears using a form of echolocation, and aside from his general appearance it is this aspect of his new abilities that tends to garner the most attention. Aside from his enhanced senses, Soma is inhumanly strong, fast, agile, and tough. He has also shown a limited ability to alter and augment his own form, thereby enhancing existing characteristics, or developing entirely new ones as the situation warrants.

Appearance: Thomas Soma is of obviously Japanese descent, with thick, long black hair, and (after months of living outdoors) dark brown skin. Though he’s still in his late teens, he comes across, both in terms of appearance and attitude, as though he were actually in his mid-twenties. After so long living outdoors, Thomas has a very “woodsy” and “outdoorsy” look about him. His hair is long, and even though he frequently wears it in a ponytail, it still manages to look a bit wild and unkempt. His clothes, while usually well-kept and clean enough, look like they’ve seen more than their fair share of rough use.
What tends to grab most peoples’ attention however are his eyes and his warped limbs. Thomas’ eyes, which look as though he has small crystal orbs mounted in his sockets, glitter and sparkle and never seem to focus on anything (which they don’t, since he’s blind). His limbs, bizarrely slender and seemingly just a bit too long, end in hands and feet that have too few digits. Instead of giving him a disjointed or awkward appearance though, Thomas moves with an eerie, fluid grace that is somewhat disturbing to watch; perhaps because he possesses less of the dancer’s grace and more of the predator’s.

Name: Raphael Priest
Status: PC (Nova)
Aberrations: None

Sixth months ago Raphael Priest was an above-average looking, barely adequate tech support grunt working in Fort Worth. He had a wife, a daughter, and his share of drudgery. He was a harmless non-entity that most people liked for his simple, yet affable, ways. If anyone had thought about zombies taking over the earth, no one would have Raphael a day, much less a month. He was a bumbling Nice Guy.

Z-Day changed all that. It changed Raphael on so many levels. Even as his old life was shorn away, he learned to survive and he learned to fight. His wife was ripped from his arms and torn apart in front of him. His friends and neighbors died all around him, but Raphe became better, and stronger. He began going by his last name – Priest. He and his daughter walked out of Fort Worth very different people. Along the way, they would rescue their first few holdouts.

Priest felt uncomfortable living in the first enclave he came across. He felt he could do more, so he took a truck, his daughter, and he headed back out. Slowly he began to gather an interesting group of survivors to travel with him. Quickly enough, he figured out that raiding the cities was a viable occupation. Priest became known for his knack of knowing were the worst concentrations of zombies were and getting around them and getting to the best treasures.

Raiding may have been his job, but saving other people remained his passion. Soon he had picked up new and better vehicles, more people, and strong sense of camaraderie. Now he travels between various outposts, the cities, and various enclaves gathering needed supplies and dropping of desperate survivors. With his crew of seven plus two dogs, Priest remains driven to save others, even as he was unable to save his own wife.

Priest has extensive combat and survival abilities all at the height of human ability. He also possesses the knack of gaining insights to dangers before they happen. Beyond that, he has sizable resources in his team, their gear, and a few caches he has secreted around the country.

Name:Leo (Dawn Lombardi)
Status: NPC (Nova)
Aberrations: None

Dawn Lombardi – Doctor Dawn Lombardi - had a very good life before Z-Day. She worked as chief technologist at a major biochemical manufacturer in Atlanta. She was young, highly respected in her field, very attractive, and very well off. As the world began its rapid whirl down the toilet, Dawn was called in to help on a desperate attempt by some surviving scientific minds to find a cure. Their attempt was probably doomed to failure. The plague was moving too fast.

Dawn took one look at the available information and she ran. She left her fellow minds to struggle on – and fail – alone. She was still running, in both a figurative and realistic terms when she came across Priest months later. Her first instinct was to take his aid and then keep running, but she saw something in Priest she thought was gone. She saw Hope.

Dawn took the handle Leonardo, shortened to Leo, and decided to hang around a bit. A bit became one month, and one month became two, and then three. In the back of her mind, she still wants to flee and make it to the Artic. She thinks she will get there eventually, but for now, she finds a degree of satisfaction in having one of her inventions destroy one of the undead.

Leo has a great deal of technical, scientific, and medical skill. Added on to that is a searing intellect and a new, intuitive understanding of all things technical. With this intuitive understanding, she has come to be able to alter inorganic substances on a molecular level and change/alter their shape. Needless to say, she is an adequate combatant – on a human level.

Title: The Crew
Status: NPC (Humans)

1)Willy Potts is a big man; A REALLY big man. He’s used his size and strength most of his life and it’s been what’s kept him alive (so he believes) on and after Z-Day. That was, until he met Priest. Willy thought he would roll right over the smaller man, but instead got his ass totally handed to him. Since then, Willy has become a believer in his leader and in the mission they do. Grabbing shit is great. It turns out that saving people, which Priest seems to have a mission for, is pretty good too. Right now, he pals around with Colt and the two of them usually work as one of the retrieval teams. Wally likes his new flamethrower, though, DAMN it gets hot. He has reddish brown hair and permanent stubble on his granite jaw. His grey-green eyes often have a distracted look when he’s not zombie-hunting.

2)Colt may be his first name, a nickname, or a last name, but this is the only name this sturdy shooter is known by. He joined with Priest after his previous scavenging team screwed up and everyone else got eaten. Colt doesn’t like to talk much about it. In fact, he doesn’t like to talk much at all.
Colt has black hair and brown eyes. His skin is much tanned and taunt over his lanky, 5’ 11” frame.

3)Bethany doesn’t bother using her old name anymore. She doesn’t like talking about what happened to her before she joined up with the team. She was found atop a water tower, out of ammo, with a small group of zombies waiting below.
Now she pilots and maintains the teams Hummer, which she loves. Bethany also helps out Leo, though she knows she’s at the limits of her own mechanical knowledge when working with the nova savant. Her favorite tactic is to run over zombies – then back over them again.
Bethany is rather short and thick-set. Though she is plain to look at, she has a sharp wit and a biting tongue. Her dark brown hair is drawn back in a ponytail and her brown eyes are often covered by goggles.

4)Rhonda is the newest member of the team, joining only a month ago. She came running out of a suburban neighborhood were she had somehow managed to survive on her own. Since then, she has elected to risk herself with the scavenger than in a safer enclave. She hasn’t said why. She drives the teams big SUV. She is somewhat cautious outside the vehicle and clusters around Priest or Leo when she is.
In reality, Rhonda’s home was being overrun by zombies and she fled up to the attic. Her father was trying to hand up a wounded younger brother to her. She knew what that meant … so she shut and locked the door, dooming her family but saving herself. This decision still haunts her.
Rhonda is a beauty, with a haunted quality to her. She has long, blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail. She is lightly tanned with deep blue eyes. She is also tall, being 5’ 9”, though slender.

5)Andy Stiles is, or was, a cop in Houston when everything went to shit. He watched everyone around him die – family, friends, his fellow cops, yet he somehow managed to keep going. He has been with Priest the longest and thinks his leader is borderline insane, but he also knows that there is no other place in this post-apocalyptic world for him. Andy is convinced he is a survivor and plays it safe … or sticks close to Priest.
Andy was once rather handsome, but a too-close encounter with a Molotov cocktail left the left side of his face badly scared. He isn’t bitter. He lived and the other guy didn’t. His brown hair is prematurely peppered with grey. His eyes are piercing, grey-green and constantly moving about. He is a bit shorter than average (5’ 8”) and hunches a bit.

6)Sarah Priest is a tough little ten year old, but aren’t all children these days? Sarah has seen her Mother die, her school mates turned into zombies, and the world she knew go to crap. No friends, no video games, no phones, no TV … nothing but danger, and dirt, and more danger. Thankfully, Sarah doesn’t mind getting dirty, she has some grown ups who aren’t too bad to pal around with, and her Dad loves her.

Right now, Dad doesn’t let her have a big gun, but she’s becoming an okay shot with her .22. She has two German Shepards to play with. Recently the group has picked up another girl Sarah can look up to like an older sister. Sarah is even beginning to believe that there might be a future.

And there are two German Shepards with the team too.

Morgan Fox

Morgan was career military. In his earlier years he even went through the Air Forces Spec Ops training and served with them through two tours of duty. After his most recent re-up he decided to take it easy and got stationed to guard a Titan I missle base near the border between Texas and Oklahoma, about halfway between Dallas and Oklahoma City. When everything when to hades on Z-day, Morgan saw that he was in about the safest place he could possibly be, and when all the other guys deserted their posts and headed off to find their families and loved ones, Morgan stayed behind. Having been career military, he didn't exactly have many friends outside the services and his parents were long dead so he had no attachments to draw him away from his post. Instead he called up several men he'd served with over the years and invited them to join him. Within days they arrived and decided to follow him in gratitude for the invitation to a place of safety.

The base was set up to be self sustainable in the event of a nuclear war, but even so supplies were not endless. Morgan soon decided to venture out to Dallas and Oklahoma City to scavenge what he could. On his very first trip out he was cornered in a National Guard armory and fled to the roof of the building. When he ran out of ammo he decided to jump and commit suicide rather than become one of the walking dead. He erupted during the fall and flew away to safety. Since then, he and his men have fended off several roaming bands of zombies and raided many times for everything they can imagine a possible need for as well as to stockpile goods that are likely to be in demand for trade.

Since it became obvious that the Government has fallen apart completely, his men look to him as their commanding officer, but neither they nor he recognize any other politician or military officer as having authority over them.

In the last few months they have traded often with Priest and offered sanctuary to many refugees that have either been brought to the base by Priest or stumbled across them. The rules of the base are that all who wish to stay accept basic training in how to fight the zombies and agree to follow Morgan for as long as they stay and take part in guarding the base. So far it is working out well. Morgan constantly seeks out refugees and attempts to learn all he can from others spread around the world via ham radio and word of mouth.

Powers: Flight, Armor and low levels of mega physicals.

James’ Followers:

Name: Jillian Johnson
Previous Occupation: Blacksmith / Knight
Status: NPC (baseline)

Background: JoAnna and Jillian are both 2nd generation SCA and they have the exact same birth date. They got taken to the same meetings and events for years and ended up calling themselves "sisters".

Jillian was taught blacksmithing by her father (he'd wanted a boy). Before the end of the world, strength meant everything to her. She became a knight mostly to demonstrate that despite her Barbie doll looks she was stronger and better than any man. Then the world ended.

She and some of her fellow knights armored up, faced, and failed to stop the zombies. She wasn't strong enough to stop them, the survivors had to run. She wasn't even strong enough to stop an infected child from eating his baby brother. In her opinion she did a lot of growing up that day and is now more in touch with reality and what's important in life.

With the benefit of hindsight and perfect knowledge, the children would have survived if they’d been immune to the plague and/or had bulletproof skin. Alternatively if James had been there he would have been strong enough to stop them. Humanity is close to going under. Survival comes first. Most of the people still running around survived more by chance more than skill. That makes it clear with whom to ally and who should be siring the next generation.

Appearance: Jillian is a tall, well built blue-eyed blond in her early 20's. Most people find it hard to see past the sexy "Barbie" doll stereotype to the muscles on top of muscles. Jillian normally wears very functional clothing.

EDIT: 7 Style Dice against men (i.e. App 4, Style 1, Sexy Merit). She also has 6 dice in Might.

Name: JoAnna Harrison
Previous Occupation: Magician
Status: NPC (baseline)

Background: JoAnna and Jillian are both 2nd generation SCA and they have the exact same birth date. They got taken to the same meetings and events for years and ended up calling themselves "sisters".

JoAnna has always enjoyed being the center of attention. Her parents dressed her up like a princess when she was small. She turned to stage magic to keep the spotlight when she got older. She was getting ready for "the big time" when the world fell apart. She fled to the SCA's 'last stand', then she and some others fled away from it.

This brave new world she's found herself in has no magic or entertainment profession, although if she's any judge it has "for Real" magic. Everything considered, she's happy with her current situation. As James "business manager" she has attention and influence. The enclave has resources, including two doctors and two nurses James saved by leaping onto a hospital roof.

She hooked up with James for multiple reasons. First, it was obvious he was going to be the center of attention, and if you can't beat them, join them. Neither James, nor Jillian has a head for business and/or trading, so her running the business helps everyone. For one example of many, James needs someone to run things during his frequent absences. There were other advantages, with the break down in law and order, "my boyfriend will kill you" is much more impressive than a "no". Better still, if science is right then James probably has a mutated version of the zombie plague. If myth is right then he's some kind of a god. In either case the "magic" might be contagious.

Appearance: JoAnna is a stunningly attractive green-eyed brunet in her early 20's (9 style dice against men). She normally dresses to attract attention.

Daniel Ian Hawkins (PC)
Captain in United States Marine Corps

Erupted due to the trauma of CampLejune and his command being overrun by Zombies and turned. Killed all the Zombies there and has been making his way inland in a Military grade HumVee, killing whatever Zombies he could without compromising his safety and survival. He has stayed in contact with the few military remants left, and a few refuges for the common citizenry. He is highly skilled in close combat and in handling firearms and demolitions. He's a natural leader though after watching his men die he's become obsessed with finding the cause of the zombie plague. At times this obsession with vengance can be hindering to his social interaction.

He prefers to work alone now, though he can merge seamlessly with group operations. He's cut a large swath of destruction from Camp Lejune inland To near Dallas where he's currently operating.

Before everything went down he was a man who always paid his debts and honored his word. Since the plague began and the loss of his unit he's concerned only with surving to find the cause of the plague and terminate it.

In the various communities he's come across he's bartered his skills as a mechanic and his skill at killing Zombies for food, shelter and parts.

He's a fairly skilled mechanic and carries a toolbox in the humvee along with a full load out of the standard issue Marine sidearms and MP4 battle rifle. He has a limited supply of ammunition for the .50 cal mounted on the roof of the Humvee and a fair supply of ammo for the various smaller firearms he carries with him. He is never without some form of armament, even while sleeping.

Rachel Gilman
Status: PC

Rachel had been a middle-school teacher in Scottsdale, Arizona before the zombies took almost everything. She had a good a marriage, a daughter, and a rewarding career. She was well involved in the community outside of work, as a girls athletic coach, and as a volunteer for numerous local causes. She was passionate about outdoor sports; her favorite pastimes were tennis, backpacking, and kayaking.

When the first wave hit, she helped as a coordinator when the school she worked at was made into an emergency shelter. The shelter proved to be a bad idea when the outbreak only worsened and the occupants found themselves trapped. Many were lost when the zombies broke in, which was when Rachel erupted. A strange solid energy field emanated from her holding back the zombies long enough for a small group to make their escape. He daughter was among the survivors, but her husband was not.

She managed to find a school van and left the city, heading for the desert with nothing but half a tank of gas, her daughter, and a van overcrowded with fifteen recently orphaned students.

She has spent the last few months keeping her charges alive and as well as teaching them to keep themselves alive. As she traveled across the country with the help of a few others, who have proven to be a great help to her, have since joined her group. She has also been looking for homes for the kids amongst any enclaves they may come across.
After six months, she is down to four kids, from the original fifteen.

With their own small army of scroungers, their group has been able to find as much they need, including new vehicles, even a base of operations in the form of a small well-stocked storm cellar.

Appearance: Rachel is a somewhat short woman in her late thirties, though eruption has made her look younger, the weight of last six months is clearly visible as well. She has sandy blonde hair and a slim but athletic build. Her once blue eyes now silver, with an odd violet glow. The glow from them is especially bright when she is accessing her quantum abilities.

Powers: In addition to being able to generate a protective force field, Rachel has gained an advanced awareness on many levels. She has incredible hearing (even into the infra and ultra-sonic range), as well as what her wards call her “psychic” powers. She can know what is in people’s heads and can find them across distances. They say she can even see the future.

Ally: Bryce Ulmer
Status: NPC Nova

Bryce has no memories from before Z-day. Rachel Gilman found him wandering through New Mexico. She saw in him an invaluable ally and convinced him to join them. He grew attached to the kids almost immediately. He has readily taken on the role of the group’s guardian. He will let nothing harm the kids and his loyalty to Rachel is unshakable. From his vehicle, equipment and the remnant of his uniform, it’s obvious that he had been a Texas State Trooper, stationed out of Amarillo. Almost nothing else is known about him, even by him.

Bryce drives a Texas DPS Chevy Tahoe.

Powers: Bryce is incredibly strong; he can lift a car and take out a zombie with one punch. He also seems to be invulnerable.

Appearance: Bryce is a large man, built like a gorilla. He’s six foot three and weighs well about 350 pounds. He is completely bald, and had kind brown eyes softening a rather mean face.

Back-story: Bryce had become a father just two days before the zombies reached Amarillo. He put his family first, making sure his wife and baby daughter were on the first ride out of the city before reporting for duty on that infamous day.

He was supervising the evacuation of Amarillo when he received word; his families convoy had been lost. He left his post to go and find them but it was to late. Bryce died inside. After spending several days in a deep depression, he decided to end it all. He acquired a few frag grenades from a passing soldier and then marched back to the city, pulled the pins, and walked right into a crowd of zombies.

He didn’t die though, at least not physically. The grenades hardly hurt him and just he continued to fight. After several hours he finally just gave up and walked out of the city, slowing only to dispatch the zombies that still followed him.

And rounding out the rest of my PC's caravan, (in all their full approved glory):

Amanda Gilman
Amanda is every parent’s worst nightmare, the too-beautiful teenage daughter. She had been an all to typical rebel, trying to find independence from her parents every way that she could, especially in her choice of boyfriends. The past six months have forced her to mature, and she and her mother have come to respect and depend upon each other. Amanda has assumed the role of negotiator and “face-man” for the group. In addition to her good looks, Amanda has shown a natural knack for reading and interacting with people.
At 5’ 5”, Amanda is already taller than her mother. She has blonde hair and baby blue eyes.

Jan Benjawan
Jan is a Cambodian/American woman in her forties. She has only been traveling with the group for a few months, and proven herself invaluable, as a medic, cook, even as a mechanic and pseudo-apothecary. Jan speaks rarely and quietly, but when she does, it soon becomes clear that she is a highly intelligent woman.
In her youth she had been a med student and showed a lot of promise working to become a surgeon, but was forced to quit medical school by a domineering husband. Her husband moved from city to city following his own career, so the best Jan could do was become a nurse. She was living in Atlanta when thing went bad, and was abandoned by her husband.
Jan is a fairly plain looking woman, of medium build, with graying hair.

Ricky Salazar
Ricky Salazar is a natural born troublemaker. He is the both the only student to regularly defy Rachel Gilman, and the one who has earned her trust the most. He is by far the clan’s best scrounger, and way to good at breaking and entering for a kid of his age. Rachel also sees a lot of potential for leadership in him. While not the oldest student, the others almost always follow his lead.
Ricky is 13 years old. A little on the skinny side, he has dark hair and eyes, typical looks for a young Hispanic American.

Other Students – The others students in the group wouldn’t qualify as followers, in most situations they would be ordered to take shelter and stay out of the way. (Only Ricky would dare disobey). Rachel’s first priority was teaching these kids to take care of themselves. Every student associated with her would have at least one dot in Awareness, Firearms, and Survival.

LeRette is a 14-year-old African American girl, tall and fairly pretty for her age. She has recently taken it upon herself to learn archery, to hunt for the group without using up ammunition.

Dexter is 13 years old. He is husky and has shaggy red hair. He is Ricardo’s closest friend and has a lot of imagination. He came up with the name “Clan of the Spider Wasp” for Rachel’s group, which all of the kids quickly adopted.

Charlotte is 11 years old. The most traumatized by past events, Charlotte has hardly spoken three words in the past six months. She trusts Bryce more then anyone else, and the two have become inseparable.

Black Thumb

Poor Sense
Former Occupation: Construction/Demolition

Background:

Tamish or Black Tom as he is often called grew up as an "untouchable" in India. His tremendous will however was too stuborn to accept his place in life and he abandoned his home, traveling first through the middle east and then europe picking up skills in construction. When he had saved enough money he moved to America and put himself through college studying engineering. Upon graduation he took a job as a journeyman in a company specializing in tall building demolitions.

Then Z-Day hit.

Black Tom is a huge mountain of a man and incredibly strong. Not strong enough however to avoid being overwhelmed by hordes upon hordes. While being mobbed at a job site, he got cornered near their supply shed for explosives. Summoning his Unshakeable Will he decided to go out on his own terms rather than being eaten alive or worse...he detonated the entire cache in a truly awe-inspiring explosion.

Quite surprisingly he did not persih but woke to find himself in an enormous crater. he learned very quickly not to touch anything. Even a small touch made things explode. He then learned why he wsn't destroying the ground...he was floating a half inch off the surface. The next thing he realized was that he wasn't breathing. he wasn't getting hungry either. Still he wandered lost and alone save for the zombies which followed him until he found his first enclave.

Things didnt go well there. At first wary of his size, strange voice and his nigh paranoid insistance at keeping safe distances away from people he was put to work scavenging. When it was discovered that the powerful electromagnetic field surrounding him was killing their first crop however they forced him to leave at gun point. One of the more criminal survivors tried executing him with a high powered rifle but the bullet bounced back and killed the would be sniper.

Now cursed like Cain to wander the earth, not sleeping not eating, Black Tom wonders if the Brahmins were right after all. he has truly been cursed to be untouchable. He travels alone in search of a place he might belong...

Black Tom has a new Ally, a hillbilly barnstormer who taught him how to dorm:

Name: Bruce "Flyboy" Bishop, aka B.B.
Status: NPC Nova

Bryce "Flyboy" Bishop grew up in rural Oklahoma and was always interested in airplanes. A third generation barnstormer he took over the family business when his Pa became too old to fly. As such he has flown and fixed planes his whole life. He also enjoyed other back country pastimes like hunting and making some mean moonshine. He erupted when a murder of carrion crows, drawn by the dead flew up suddenly into his plane destroying his engine. He gained powers similar to the aircraft he loves. The ability to fly, hear and transmit radio frequencies as well as a stout constitution. Rather than sonar his enhanced hearing actually operates off of radio frequencies making it closer to radar.

While flying around he came upon Black Tom who was in a very anti-social mood and yelled at him to get away. Always an extremely likeable fellow, BB stayed out of reach and finally got Black Tom to open up about his problem. It turns out that BB had a similar problem with turning off his flight but had learned to shut down his powers. He also found out this helpful for getting drunk.

So he took a liking to the giant Punjabi and taught him how to shut down his powers and the two became fast friends, almost inseperable. When not drinking 'shine or playing poker for odd bets BB acts as an aerial spotter for Tom and the two have made a pretty good team.

When the two find the base he fits right in as an aircraft mechanic, sniper, and all around carouser who is known for the stiffness of his homebrewed drink. More than once the moonshine has become an impromtu napalm for dealing with Zeds. He is also quite the cook with a palate so refined as to be uncanny. He often makes references to "Pa's ol' recipe" or "secret ingrediants" known to his family for generations.

Violet was an aspiring fotomodel when Z-Day turned her life upside down. Living as such seemed to be over and what she worked hard for was gone from one day to the other. She doesn't talk much about her eruption instead changing topics quickly or suddenly appearing busy with some other stuff on her mind. What is known about her is that "the Captain" rescued her and that the two of them have been good friends (or more?) ever since.

Violet just started to run a club at the base in agreement with Captain Fox, of course. She constantly keeps looking for personnel, preferebly baselines and/or novas with good looks or a knack for entertainment. While Violet is the boss of her club her best friend Jennifer and former manager runs the business, making sure all the logistical and "boring" stuff is done.

Standing at approximately 6 feet tall with long blonde hair and strikingly violet eyes, something that came with her eruption, Violets presence always seem to cause a stir among the camps refugees. Her modelling days maybe be over but she still carries that air and glamour around her, flirting whenever it suits her or when it meets her ends. She has never picked up a weapon or made any intentions in helping defend the base, instead relying on the others to do what they can while she does what she can.

The club is accessible for all adults who try to relax and forget for a little while that the world has been flushed down the toilet. It is still far away from what she wants it to be, but her idea slowly seems to bear some fruits, as more and more visitors pass by to have a good drink, a nice conversation or maybe more... who knows?

Violets powers are more of a mystery. She obviously has been gifted with extraordinary good looks and it seems as if she is everybodies "type". Everyone (male or female) who had some time with her in private describes her as being intoxicating and making one completely forget about the perils they daily encounter. Some even feel invigorated or at least completely relaxed. She likes to be secretive about her powers which makes it even more difficult to actually ascertain what she can or can't do. But she seems to be getting what she wants most of the time.

Jennifer is a very good looking woman in her mid-twenties.
She is about 5'9 tall with long brunette hair, that she usually keeps in a braid. The color of her eyes are hard to tell, but they seem to be a mix of green and brownish shades. Though she appears young, she is a shrewd business woman. She could've been a model herself but instead she opted for the manager career. While Violet is the boss of the club, Jennifer makes most important decision for the club. Decisions that have to be made if you want to run a business... even under such odd circumstances.

Jennifer also makes sure, that Violet gets some time off, when she doesn't want any contact with visitors or customers. Its much like it used to be for her, she manages Violets live while Violet makes the money... only that there is no money to make nowadays. But even without money - there is some kind of trade going on and Jennifer exactly knows how to handle that to her best interest and benefit.

(OOC: Violet and Jennifer are the same person. Jennifer is Violets dormed personality (Dormancy 5) and she tries very hard to keep that secret.)

Physical Description: Preston stands about 6'2" and is a mass of exceedingly toned muscle though for those who know what to look for, he is visibly built for speed over power. A scar down the side of his face keeps him from being as pretty as it could be. He's not fugly or anything like that, but... He calls it "rugged". Also, there's something about him that seems to strike most people as... "off". Some people are attracted to it, others not so much. To each their own, he supposes. Preston knows exactly what it is. He is a predator. He has spent so much time alone that his very mannerisms aren't entirely 'normal'. It's not enough to have him exiled from reality, but it is enough to set some people on edge. On the up side, he is very much identifiable as alive. His predatory grace radically different from the shambling of the hordes.

Reputation: Preston's reputation is one of discipline and sociability coupled with new definitions of the word 'carnage'. What is known about him is that at one point he was a US marine and now he seems to be open to the highest bidder. His capabilities are never questioned. Every time he is set on a mission it is almost always a 'search and destroy' type operation. Silence, frenzied explosive wave of gunfire and chaos, silence. In person, Preston is said to be a fairly likeable individual, able to dress nice, even if it is combat fatigues and a small arsenal, and hold a decent conversation. However, on a mission, the man is an animal with his eyes on the enemy's throat at all times.
