Has anyone played Gamma World yet? If so, what are your impressions?

The homepage for the new version can be found HERE . The d20 version is by our previous Trinity developer, and all around nice guy, Bruce. I played the old version when I was a kid, which was a warped futuristic world with the players playing bizarre mutants, including animal and plant variations. I can't say I was a fan of the old game, but since Bruce is a part of the new version I thought I would check it out, or at least as the opinion from some of you all if it was worth my money.

I wasn't aware that it was out yet. I did kind of like the old GW game ... in fact I still own three different versions of it. I suppose that I will get a 4th now.

I haven't, but I have found a Gamma World d20 review on RPG.net. It's a damn harsh review, but if people are interested:

http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/9/9821.phtml

It's a capsule review, the guy hadn't actually played it yet, so take it as you will...

As you said, his review isn't very flattering. Other than Cthulhu I don't think the reviewer has read a book that he likes, so I can't tell if his review is fair on the material. If anyone here gets it or plays it, please let us know what you think.

I saw it in the store the other day, anyone out there played or even really looked at it yet?
