Steve and I discussed in chat and we're ready if need be to explain the truth (or some portion of it) to the President. At this moment it does not seem that we will need to.

Of course we didn't expect the president to fall for it hook line and sinker.

That said there are plenty of ways to avoid GIVING Lorean to the Gov't.

Well, luckily Lorean has a mind of her own and can always deposit any unwelcome guests somewhere in the solar system and leave if she choses.

There is always the possibility that you could tell the President that Lorean is a fully sentient being, thus a citizen of the League and thus not property.
This option gives Lorean a voice in her own fate though it also puts up the problem of Artificial Intelligences and their place in society.

@Andrew - I don't know if you can actually pierce her skin with the needle. Joani doesn't have any Dormancy and as far as I know you can't turn off Armor and Invulnerability?

Next weekend I will be unavailable. On Friday, I have to have back surgery to repair a badly herniated disk. It is outpatient, but I will be on high-powered painkillers. If I do post, I will not remember making it. Nor will it probably make much sense.

Joani, presumably she can use her power to pierce her own skin, superman had been shown to use his heat vision to do just that at times. In a pinch Andrew could create some badass claws do do the same thing as well.

Armor says you can choose to not apply it, but INV doesn't give that option (unless ST says otherwise), ditto Mega-Stamina. Eufiber could be removed.

On the other hand you the player could state that she doesn't know how to lower her Armor or simply can not.

Given that this situation should pop up with novas on occassion, I would guess that Andrew has some needles with AP on them, which should deal with the vast majority of novas... but not all.

Sure, we might need a diplomat. Not to dimish Steve's considerable talents but I think we all know Ulric is best suited for that role.

Right now I'm still going with the idea that Steve's level of Quantum is so low he can't get tainted. Also other than the other Hammersmith event's given powers (which he hasn't developed at all), Steve only has Luck and Mega-Stats.

Omar's Quantum went from 2 before Hammersmith, to 6. All his taint came from Quantum, and it went from 0-5 in that time. He has an aura and a feeding requirement (Salt).

Joani is at T4 which came from a tainted dot of Quantum. Her weakness has been thouroughly described I suppose.

I am caught up in the IC thread.

I am brewing an IC response. I was going to just have Cody pipe up but Joani made several comments that he was not there, so he is not there. Not to worry though...I have an excellent explanation and yes please if you would wait a tick Fox for me to organize my thoughts into a post (and a long overdue reply to your PM) I will have Cody beam aboard shortly.

In the meantime I am off to school and then work so patience please. I will do my best not to hold things up this week.
